I am doing a v8 swap into an old MGB roadster. This means that much of the OEM geometry is changing; a big part is how the steering functions. In my case, this meant either I had to find a way to adapt the old to the new or invest in a multi-hundred dollar part from another old car, which would also require adaptation.After searching I found this and took a gamble. For me, it was a direct fit and solved a complex problem quickly since it can operate at a very tight angle.The only thing to look out for is that while it's 3/4", it's a flat 3/4". That means you have to grind down a circular 3/4" to have 2 flat edges that measure about 1/2". You'll be drilling for pins anyhow so get that grinder out and make it happen!Great part, took what was going to be weeks of experimentation and got the job done in an hour.

High quality Double-Cardan Universal jointI work on a lot of racecars and street rods. Sometimes you find that you have to install steering shafts around headers, frame and suspension parts that necessitate angles greater than 30°. When that happens, you get hard/tight spots in the rotation of the shafts. Install a double-cardan joint like this and you’ll remove those high-spots. This is a quality part with really good machining. Some of the edges are a bit sharp, but can be quickly de-burred with a small file.Also, while the joint ends have a double locking bolt, I still add a tack-weld from the double-D shafts to the joint connecting points.I keep up with my reviews and will revisit this one should the need arise.I give this double u-joint my Big-Foot “Stomp” of approval and 5 stars

This double u joint is much more substantial than a single u joint, and allows a greater angle of smooth motion.The chrome plating is not show-quality, but it doesn't feel like it's going to flake off either. You'll need to buff it with some chrome polish to make it shine like a show car.The ends feel great and I like that the included grub screws are not too long. I recommend using a thread locker appropriate for your build, or a reusable thread locker like vibratite on these grub/set screws.Fits the 3/4 DD shaft I bought on amazon, with no play.
