1.9m Aquarium Fish Tank Vacuum Syphon Gravel Water Siphon Hand Pump Cleaner

I have used several syphons in my time and the way the product is supposed to work is you pump it, build up a suction, water comes out of one end and thats it... it'll suck water out by itself until the level is too low and suction ends up being reduced.This product however, well... You'll pump it furiously, get forearm cramp due to how stiff the ball is and you'll squirt some water out, then as soon as you stop, the water falls right back. I've adjusted the angle, height and nothing works. The syphon is clearly built very poorly and suffering from air seal problems. I've had to resort right back to using buckets/jugs and cups to empty my small pond after 5 minutes of wasting my time with this garbage. Avoid.

Quite a wide bore tube exit tupbe so does suck fast and fill a 15lt bucket in about 3-4 mins or so so you have to be quick. Input tube could do with being narrower as its pretty wide so the suction is not a powerful as i would like. You cant remove the grate which does ironically trap the poo (if still whole) so would be good to remove; grate wont stop sand small gravel anyway and larger gravel wont go up that far.

I really like this one, just replaced my old one (same make) after a few years of good service, i find it a little long for my needs but it works much better than the shorter ones i have tried.

The product is fine,but when it arrived the pump had be put on the wrong way round so it would not syphon.Once I had worked out what was happening and changed it round it works perfectly.

Great for dwc setups.

Doesn't pump!!!!! Absolutely frustrating. Didn't come with an instruction manual either as to how I should use it... which end should go where!! And it can in a small plastic packaging which bent the plastic piping in the product so have to get someone else to hold that part up while I pump. I've ended up hurting my palms because the product simply doesn't do what it advertised to do!
