Great for pranking!
The media could not be loaded. Are regular doorbell doesn't work in general, so this was perfect to replace it. This gives u a buzzing lightening effect to your finger of shock haha but nothning too serious u would get hurt. You get 2 batteries one of ours was dead on arrival but other one worked just fine and you can easily replace them there not the tiny round button batteries which is good! It looks pretty real so far every who's pressed it thought it was just the normal one. The zapping effect does tend to eventually lessen as time goes on. We had several uses out of it before it weakened the zap. Still alot of fun to watch. Great if your looking for pranking someone and need something realistic

Fun little device
Installed it inside garage where you don't usually have a door bell. Intended to prank on who's more curious. Only got one. Looks like quality product.

Not suitable for children under 14
So I admit that I naively expected to see some sort of electricity when I pushed the button on here, but there was none. The other thing is that the doorbell comes with a warning that says "Not suitable for children under 14", so that ruled out using this as a Halloween prank for me, which was basically why I wanted it. They should put that in the item description so we know before we buy it.Anyway, you push the button and feel a little sting in your finger. Different people will fill the shock differently because if I press it with my fingernail, I feel nothing. And my index finger feels the shock more strongly than my thumb.

Doesn't deliver
When I received the product, it already had a battery installed, but it would not work. I took me about an hour to read through the instructions because it's such a simple product, I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. Then I saw it came with a 2nd extra battery, which I installed and finally it worked. However, it wasn't really a shock, that could be identified. I really don't know how to describe the expected "shock", other than a very light static soft pop. It's really does not deliver the expected prank.

Funny Prank
Pulled the protective tab off of the battery straight out of the packaging and tried it out. Scary jolt! Tried to prank my husband but I think he has too thick of calluses on his fingers, he felt nothing. Did get my youngest son though. Fun prank to have on hand to pull on people.

A light zap - when it works
As part of my Halloween decorations, I have multiple false doorbells to prank unsuspecting trick or treaters... And when I came across this, I figured it'd be a nice "trick" for the older ones that I could install a bit higher up!Out of the box, it has a battery pre-installed with a pull tab to make contact. There's an extra battery as well - it uses 123A cells, so extras are a good idea as you can't find them easily outside of ordering online. Installing is quick with the included pad, and it stays up easily. When I first tried it out, I assumed the first battery was dead, as I didn't feel anything. After popping off the cover and double checking the battery, I noticed the button was making a high pitched beep when pressed, so it was definitely getting power; I then tried another finger, and actually felt a bit of a zap.My wife and kid had a similar experience, with one finger not getting any shock, and another working fine, so we put it down to thicker skin not being conductive enough, as well as the metal touch points on the bell being spaced out a bit. You may have better luck with a thin layer of conductive gel on the surface - like what's used for TENS devices - or maybe some petroleum jelly spread thinly enough to not notice by the person being pranked.I'd rate it a bit lower of it wasn't so cheap; it's effective enough at looking like a real doorbell, and does give a playful shock on occasion, so is worth the $7 if you're looking for a quick and easy prank.

Shockingly Fun
This is easy to set up, however I would get a stronger sticky round for the back. It gives a pretty good shock but not too strong. It looks like a real doorbell when by the front door and several people have been shocked. The only downside I found is the battery dies fast.

Not the type of shock I expected
I'm disappointed in this. I was expecting a much better shock and not so much of a burning sensation. It doesn't even work very well. You have to make sure you make contact with multiple parts of the bell and hold it down. Then you feel a burning sensation and not really a shock. It really did feel like it burned my skin. It still had the sensation for several minutes after using it.
