Great Tween Book about fitting in and friendship
According to my niece, Pippa Park was a very relatable middle-schooler who like her was just trying to fit in with the other kids at school. So, I am happy that book 2 has been published and we can read another amazing fast-paced book together. The second book's opening sets up the story's conflict quickly. The reader learns Pippa Park will need to try to keep her cool quotient up by throwing a holiday party for her "Royal" basketball team friends while helping work after school at her family's laundromat business. To top it off Eliot, her crush from book 1 is baaaack and he likes her BUT she meets a new guy, Marvel, and doesn't know which guy is the one for her!!!Yep, full-on middle school drama!I also liked the fact that her brother-in-law Jung-Hwa continues to play a big role in helping Pippa Park sort out her problems while cooking up delicious Korean Food. Kkori gomtang anyone? There is also a new character, an unusual neighbor Mrs. Lee, who adds humor and fortune-telling to the book when she moves in with the family after breaking her leg.Highly recommended!

Exactly what tweens should be reading!
The Pippa Park series is charming, well-written, and exactly what tweens should be reading!I got both books in the Pippa Park series and the fill-in journal for my niece on the recommendation of a friend of mine, and I am so glad I did. This series made the perfect gift and definitely helped secure my status as the best aunt ever. She devoured it all in one weekend and couldn’t stop raving about it.The Pippa Park series is great because it emphasizes the importance of staying true to yourself, which I think is such an important message– especially for young girls entering tweenhood like my niece. Readers can see themselves in Pippa and will learn from both her triumphs and her mistakes. The journal captures the feel-good messages and heart of Pippa’s story with fun and engaging activities, but also encourages kids to get creative, reflect, and engage with what they read on a deeper level. My niece loved finding out which Pippa character she’s most like!I highly recommend the Pippa Park series for middle school readers, and to any aunts looking to become their niece’s favorite person.

Middle School story
The message of the book is an important one for any age. The only thing I didn't like was Pippa's constant avoidance in telling all the characters the truth especially about the party and how the circumstances kept getting worse and worse. However, I was glad that everything worked out in the end.I won my copy from a Goodreads giveaway and will donate it to my school's library.

Great book 2!
What a fun book 2! Pippa Park is back and the holiday season is approaching. Pippa’s crush on Elliot (her math tutor) is alive and well, and in book 2 we’re introduced to Marvel, a childhood friend with great taste in music. Pippa realizes she has two crushes instead of just one and proceeds to deal with it in an endearingly middle-school kind of way.Pippa’s inner monologues, social stumbles, and friendship dramas read very believably. Just like in book 1, Pippa is determined to prove herself to her new friends, this time by throwing a “Royals”-worthy Christmas party. At the same time, she tries to juggle family responsibilities, babysitting gigs, basketball, and school.Highly recommended for tween audiences!

Loved it!
I thought this book looked so cute that I bought it without realizing it was book 2! Luckily, I jumped right into Pippa's story and read it without feeling like I was missing something (readers of all ages could do the same!)And I was right--it's so cute! I adored the wholesomeness of the love triangle and I instantly fell in love with the charming characters. Pippa's emotions and her desire to fit in felt so realistic--I feel like I made a best friend in Pippa! I'm excited to read book 1 and get to meet her all over again.

Humor and Heart
I loved Pippa Park! She is such a truly genuine character and I love how Erin touches on so many real middle school issues in a true way. Full of humor and heart.

Not interesting enough to hold my attention
I got this book in order to write an honest review.I had difficulty reading this book, since it didn't catch my attention. Nothing seemed to happen for quite a while, so I only was able to read a couple of pages at a time before putting it down over and over.
