Stress free
Easy to use, original packaging, good delivery time. I added this to my sat nav to tour France. Printed instructions are scant. As I am not familiar with technology I found that by searching 'use and insert SD card Garmin' on my search engine I was directed to many online videos showing this product is simple to use. Video shows how to insert card and step by step instructions show you how to program, set and change preferences for use - I realise that an average 8 year old could do it but it is hard when you have used maps for 40 years!!!I have not physically used it to navigate out of the UK but have pre programmed GPS co-ordinates for next trip and all seems well. Very pleased with product and as a technophobe have now found out how to use this product correctly using online prompts I can now confirm it is so simple to program and save.Update after 3200 mile France trip I used a mix of co ordinates and post codes to find campsites in France and all my journeys were easy. I also used it to find nearest supermarkets, fuel and historical sites (that made life ultra easy)She / it does like to go off piste sometimes and cut off corners when you can clearly follow a main road and road signs, but once you get used to that you can either go with the flow or stick to the main road. Personally I would be wary if towing as it has no concept of fastest, quickest routes in France no matter what setting you use.If you use GPS coordinates be careful which of the 3 formats you use look at route map to double check before you press go.Would recommend and buy again.

Garmin Maps of France & Benelux on SD-Card/microSD supplied by amazon
Not used yet so I cannot comment on accuracy but it is copyrighted 2011 and it is only May 2012 so the map should be pretty much the latest that Garmin have. Worked immediately in my Nuvi 300. Have seen some reviewers comenting on the currency of the mapping and the speed it takes to load but I dont foresee a problem with load speed - how often do you load your maps and what is so important that you cannot wait for a second or two. Clearly there are one or two geeks out there who would rather sit measuring load time than drive off on holiday. So overall would I buy again. Well not this map obviously because I have just bought it but yes I would buy another map from the same range. I like the fact that because it is a micro SD it will plug into any garmin unit which has a card reader. If you buy the downlaod version you are stuck with using the map on the one device. And what is more it is much cheaper buying from amazon than buying direct from the Garmin shop - strange that. Garmin Maps of France & Benelux on SD-Card/microSD

Garmin still haven't learnt the lesson!
Three years ago I wrote to Garmin when I paid for a map update of Italy and found it was at least three years out of date for the area of Pisa I was visiting. That was greeted by a e-mail (when I complained to Garmin Uk) about the Maps being out of date (not only on the unit I had purchased 18 months before, but also on the Map update i'd purchase due to the original Map problem) I was told to read the small print, Which says we (Garmin) are not liable for the maps accuracy! I find this considerably disconcerting as this product is being sold as a navigation aid. Having said that I gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried again with this Micro SD card and was sadly disappointed to find the same out of date information.I'm not a really pedantic person however I do want t have what I pay for. If I was talking about small minor roads in the back of beyond I could understand. However on both occasions I have found the problems with major roads around both Pisa and Malaga and the road junctions.Garmin's reaction is 'well you tell us about it and we'll put it right' I said OK you've charged me £58 for this 'update' what are you going to refund me for the update I forward to you? Their reply was 'nothing' ! So if you're a director of Garmin you on to a Winner all gain no pain! If you purchase a Garmin you are a looser, believe me I've been there. Interestingly enough I'm now using my cellphone with Google Maps which appears to be more up to date and free!

Not ideal for cycle touring in the Netherlands, but a good back-up
Bought as back-up navigation for a cycle tour of the Netherlands, mostly using a guide book (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cycling-Netherlands-Routes-Cyclists-Paradise/dp/1900623196/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1411922411&sr=1-1) and paper maps. The maps card worked fine, used it with downloaded gpx files, and in the Find mode of my Garmin. They get you to where you need to be, especially helpful finding hotels etc. The routes used are always via the road though. The limitation in the Netherlands, and this is particularly limiting, is that many/most cycle paths are not shown. One of the main draws of cycling in NL is that you can be free of the roads almost all the time via the fietspad (bikepath) system. A lot of the time the map shows you being in the middle of nowhere, or in the case of paths along dikes, it thinks you are cycling in a canal. If you are hoping to use these maps as the main method of navigation in the Netherlands I would think twice, but they're a very adequate back-up.

Garmin Maps of Spain & Portugal on SD-Card/microSD
I bought this map sd card when I went to go and visit my inlaws in Portugal. Without a doubt I had no problems getting around, especially when my inlaws live in a very rural cental part.Unlike other reviews of this product, this map is more upto date than the uk one, even after I have updated it through the internet. Where I live, the uk map does not show a dual carraige way that has been open about 3 years. Yet in a not so update country like Portugal It got us every where we wanted to go. I have not tried it in Spain yet but I am due to go soon, so fingers crossed it will perform as well as in Portugal. If there was a downside it would be, that it does not give you advanced warning of speed limits or speed cameras, but there are constant road side reminders of speed limits and obviously you don't need to speed.
