Such a help
This book completely changed the way I view our child, especially after a harrowing 2015. Life is not perfect, and we are having ups and downs, but I recall why I like him as well as love him. And I do. This book not only changes your thought processes but gives you tools to use, so it's best of both worlds. Can't recommend highly enough.

Dr Jeff makes the complex simple
I'm a psychologist and felt a total personal and professional failure when searching 'like your children more' on Amazon. However, Dr Jeff helped normalize a lot of the feelings I had been having towards my eldest son. After reading the introduction, I felt as if it had been written specifically for me!The book outlines in plain terms how one's feelings of anger and frustration are a product of one's thoughts about an event, rather than the event itself. Dr Jeff's explanations of our thoughts and behaviors are firmly based in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (a very credible type of psychotherapy) but explained in a very straight-forward and easily applied manner. He has a knack for making the complex simple and for leaving readers with a few key and enduring messages.I'm very grateful for Dr Jeff's book and have found his strategies extremely powerful and valuable in enriching my relationship with my son.

Very helpful and positive
I have read a lot of books and have seen several therapists to help me deal with a "challenging" teenager, but this book was probably the most helpful in teaching me how to change my behavior and my thinking. Thank you!

Good reminder
This book is beautiful reminder that ultimately the responsibility of our 'reaction' to our children's behaviour is down to us and our own projections and expectations of them. If you are ware of this and looking for techniques to help this book is a little frustrating as it spends a lot of time trying to convince you of something you are already aware of but wanting help with! If the. 1st sentence comes as a shock to you -then perfect book for you
