I spent a lot of time comparing the mid-priced automatic feeders available on Amazon and this is the one that I finally settled on. It seems like you get what you pay for and I am hella broke, but really needed something to help me with feeding my own cat while operating a pet care business and traveling without dumping my pet's needs on my roommates or hiring someone of my own to drop in and feed.My priorities for a feeder were dual power sources, controllable portion sizes, multiple feedings (up to 6), functionality of build, removable feeding tray for easy wash, functionality of app, and a securely fastening lid. Every feeder had a few negative reviews and it seems statistical that a malfunction could occur considering the moving parts and reliance on wifi so it was really a game of chance. I do not utilize the voice feature because my cat couldn't care less about a feeding time and grazes all day (hence the desire for multiple smaller-portioned feedings).The feeder was easy to wash, physically set up, and get connected to the wifi. The app was also easy to figure out and I had feedings scheduled within minutes of it being connected to my wifi. I checked the bag of cat food to figure out how many grams a day my cat should be eating and then I measured out 1 feeding portion a few times to check the consistency of the feeder. It came out at 8-9g every time and my cat needs up to 110g a day of her current food, so I broke that down into 14 portions and scheduled them across 5 feeding times to start. She doesn't like when her bowl is empty so I may adjust this, but so far it seems to be working out well. I haven't had any problems with it dispensing food (mechanical or technical) THAT I'M AWARE OF. I wish it had a camera, but that's a feature for a higher price point. I will be monitoring the feeder over the next few days to make sure the schedule works for my cat and that it operates without fail. I'll happily update my review after a few months to see if it's still functioning at 100%.EDIT 11/13/23:My only complaint at the moment is that I can't figure out how to erase the accidental recording I made that plays every time I dispense food. I don't want to make any sound, but the only option seems to be to record over it. Hmm....

Added it easily to the smart life app which I already had installed using other devices. Set up and use is very easy. It seems like the wifi is not very strong as sometimes it takes a bit to connect but it always connects and works fine for manual feedings. I love the dual chambers too. We actually dont keep any food in the second chamber so if our new kitty starts crying during the night we can just do a manual feeding on chamber 2 and the voice recording will still play and distract her. The only complaint is that one of the reasons I purchased this model is that it worked with the Smart Life app. All the other devices I have using the Smart Life app also work with Google Assistant so I can control that way. This unit works with SL of course but is not able to be controlled by Google. Not a deal breaker but would have been that much nicer. I love being able to see the battery level in the app so i can monitor and change if needed so in case of a power outage my cats still get fed if i'm not home. Cant believe the price for a feeder that has this many working features. Highly recommend

This feeder is excellent! It is really good looking and also convenient when the owners are not home! You can store 2 different foods here and also can feed your cat with an app! Which is so convenient because I want my cat have a fixed schedule for food so I feed her through the app, also you can set the amount for each time. The feeder is easy to assemble and has a nice appearance, you must buy it!

The media could not be loaded.  I needed something for when I get stuck at work or we want to have a weekend getaway. This worked perfectly! I got it a month ago.. We left for NY for 5 days and it lasted 7 with 2 feedings per day. I like that you can control the portions and set up an auto timer. I don’t like the wire in the back but I know you can use batteries too I just haven’t tried it yet. I also wish I could fill both bowls at the same time but it’s not that big of an issue. Definitely worth getting.

This cat feeder is super easy to setup, change the schedule, and track their eating/meals. I’m so happy that I made this purchase, after reviewing so many options out there. Top notch product allowed up to leave for the holidays without worrying that our babies would be taken care of.

Great feeder. I have submitted two reviews with pictures and videos, which Amazon has refused to print, although everything I said was very positive about this feeder. I would give it 10 stars if I could, and I hope they will print this review.

The media could not be loaded.  I LITERALLY JUST BOUGHT THIS ABOUT A MONTH/ TWO MONTHS AGO!!!So at first, I was excited about this product because whenever we go on vacation, I will be able to have an automatic feeder for the cats. After about a week or two of proper use the left side, the 2L, stopped working. I realized when I looked inside the gear was getting stuck and wouldn’t move with the other one. There is no food in it then I will put a little bit of kibble (yes the right size of kibble) and there and it still didn’t work or move the gear. (I noticed that the inside of the machine is upside down, which prevents the flaps from moving in it’s clockwise direction)So, at this point, I only have the 3L side working. Which is annoying, but fine because I can just take the divider out and use the working side. And now that one is getting stuck. I’ve tried to finagle it and fix it but nothing is working so at this point, I really hate that I wasted my money I would like to get my money back because it doesn’t even automatically feed. It’s always stuck or has a problem, I don’t know who to contact in order to get this fixed, but do not waste your money!!!!!
