Worked perfectly.
I did have to solder the pins on which I wasn't expecting, but no big deal. I used this for JTAG with a Raspberry Pi 4 and worked perfectly for that purpose.

Not as easy as other FT232H
But they are a bunch more functional and programable. Basically exposes the core chip so you can program it how you want. Default mode is RS232 so once you hook up the right (default) pins they work just fine.

Looks nicely constructed, though an annoying connector..
I get how this is a clone of another device, however having a USB-A plug mounted on the edge of the PCB is the least convenient way of using this board. I'll probably remove it and just solder on a cable with USB-A plug on the end. The only alternative that I can see without modifying the board is to use a USB-A "extension cable", but that puts a really bulky connector on that small PCB.Still, the price is right..
