Met my needs the wooden base was very nice

From the solid wood base, to the high-quality glass enclosure; from the attractive lift knob to the padded feet, this is a great item. I purchased two of them for pocket watches I've owned for years. I read in 1 review that the bases are made of compressed sawdust. But the wood splices, clear grain patterns, and beautiful, varying wood tones across the diameter of the base beg to differ. This is a really attractive display globe, and I would recommend it without hesitation.

This was for my father's very old pocket watch. Really like the glass dome to display it. Pleased with the purchase.

Excellent value for the money displays pocket watch clearly and visibly

I wanted this as a gift to hold a medal and the Display Dome is perfect.I was unsure of the quality I would get without seeing it in person, but I was pleasantly surprised. The Wood base is professionally finished to a furniture quality. The dome is real glass and fits into the base groove perfectly. The sliver tone hook and top finial are clean and bright, no pitting or unfinished plating. In other words a beautiful but unobtrusive display case to a very important medal in our home.

I bought this to display a very nice mechanical pocket watch that I bought recently. Since I don't carry that watch around everyday, I wanted to be ale to display it in a way that would allow it to be seen and appreciated. This is a great display case. It looks sharp enough to bring out the quality of what is inside without distracting from it. I'd definitely recommend this display case

Great quality display for a pocket watch! I had been looking for something like this for a while to display a pocket watch that I received as a gift. I generally don’t carry it so it will likely live most of its life under the dome, but it looks simply fantastic. The wood is real and a nice stained walnut color. It has soft “feet” underneath the base so it won’t scratch a shelf or desk, and the glass bell is clean and makes a great presentation piece. Couldn’t ask for more!
