Works very well!
This was a Christmas gift. I was a little worried about quality. Reviews were good. Gave it a chance. Packages very well. Easy to assemble. Make sure you read instructions on operations. Of course takes getting used to but flies very well. Has a low and higher speed. Altitude limit is a nice feature. Batteries lasts us about 10 min. Comes with two batteries. I did purchase the warranty for $3-4 in case. Takes a beating. You will need a ladder and long pole to get out of trees and off roofs!

Breaks easily
Broke on 3rd use. Tail stopped working and it crashed. Tail broke off. Not worth it.

It really does fly!! 13 year old loves this toy!
We haven't seen any of the Avatar movies. The closest connection our family has to the film is doing the Na'vi River Journey in Disney World. I picked this up because my son loves drones and anything remote controlled. I thought this would be fun if it actually flies... It does with a bit of practice. This is an outside toy for our house. If you have very high ceilings and large rooms, this would be great. We have standard 8' ceilings with ceiling fans in every room, so it's not ideal. The claims for this toy are true - you do have control of this for about 200' before it loses signal (we've recently measured our yard for fencing, so we have markers for that length) and the flight time is about 10 minutes. The battery does charge very quickly, and it does come with an extra as well as the appropriate screwdriver. You will need 2AAA batteries for the remote. It does take some time to get the controls down, but once you learn them, it's easy. The Banshee has taken some abuse - getting stuck in trees, hard landings, hitting the side of the house and the roof, and has luckily avoided falling into the pool. It is still holding up well. There was a point in time when it took a particularly hard landing when it got stuck on the roof and the high winds blew it off and it only wanted to fly downwards. My son said he just tapped the servo (which he explained to me something about the motor... I cannot confirm he is using any of the correct terminologies!) and it fixed it to flying straight again. Sometimes the wings pop out, but that is expected in a crash and quite easy to fix.Overall, I would recommend this for older kids. His little brother (10) can get the hang of it, but he's not really in RC things, so it was a little frustrating at first for him. Younger kids (8+?) who have grown up obsessed with RC things may love this Banshee. It is a single hand controller, but it does have a bit more going on than just using a Switch JoyCon singlehanded or a Meta/Oculus hand controller.
