rereading this when I'm sick of contemporary fiction
First time I encountered this book was in high school English class.. then in university English 101. Now I still reread it when I want to remind myself of that magical feeling of discovering the beauty in language and why I fell in love with literature in the first place.

Hard to follow at times; you jump from the thoughts of one character to another
I liked the descriptions of London society in 1920s. Interesting characters. No real plot. Beautiful imagery. If I hadn’t had an English professor explain this book to me, I would not have liked it. My fav books are linear, more easy to follow, and plot driven.

mrs Dalloway
Chose because it is a classic. Enjoyed the stream of consciousness format once I got into it. This book does not really have a plot ,just a day in the life of the characters.

tough read
I had wanted to read an important book. My goodness, it was by Virginia Woolf, so it fit the bill. I did not know it was stream of consciousness. I finished the book through sheer determination, but from now on will find out more about a book before I suggest it for my book club.
