Excellent Spatula!!!
This company (Eddingtons) makes beautiful quality kitchen utensils. I already own 2 of the 13.75” spoons and just got the spatula with holes and I love it! Top quality construction and beautiful wood. Like the spoons I can tell this will last a lifetime.I would highly recommend buying anything this company makes. I’ve been cooking over 50 years and I know quality when I see it.My advice is to always buy the best. These utensils only get better with age. Also these are nice enough to buy as gifts!

Goegeous and just what I meeded!
At first I was weary based on revies showing a different product than pics, but happy to say they are gorgeous and just like the pics. They are thin but sturdy and comfortable to hold which is what I was looking for. It has been a chore to find utensils like this which I prefer for things like ground meats and tossing vegies in a pan. After my last set went bye bye I've been looking for a while to find a suitable replacement. You need the flat wide thin profile to easily break down meat and also not damage food. They make chores like that easier and this delivers. I feel like the price was fair given the quality and remember its super important to properly care for wood you can let it soak, stay wet, use scouring pads or put in the dishwasher. Oiling wood with food grade oil/wax can help more delicate pieces like this resist water and stay nice for a long time.

Back for more
Purchased the first in Nov 2022. It is our favorite so am here for another. I know it says not to... but i put this through the dishwasher all the time. Very top rack. Hasn't been in an issue. This is durable and useful. I don't care about how it looks, but it's not ugly. LOL.

Beautiful spatula and very functional
This spatula works just as good as the plastic one it has replaced while being non-toxic. I also love the distinctive veiing of the olivewood.I am ridding my kitchen of all plastic utensils and storage containers in order to minimize my exposure to “forever chemicals.”

Great quality and versatile spatula for cooking most dishes
I've been using this for almost 6 months now and it's the only spatula I use to cook anymore. I use it to cook ragu sauce, chili, sauteing vegetables, meats, making tortilla de patatas, curry, butter chicken, and other sauce-based dishes. There are some cookware products that do well for a majority of jobs and this is one of them (alongside my cast iron skillet). The shape of the spatula is perfect for scraping up bits in the cast iron skillet. It is wide enough to scoop up most foods as well. I have not had any issues with acidic ingredients, like tomatoes; however, I wash this when I'm done cooking and immediately towel dry it (as opposed to letting it air dry). I also don't use soap, just hot water. It has held up well.A couple of cons:The handle isn't very comfortable or ergonomic, but I can deal. If you cook a lot (more than the average person) and this is the main utensil you're using to cook, it will get tiresome in your hand.Personal preference:I have not "oiled" this with mineral oil because I'm not a fan of using petroleum products, especially when it comes to cookware and the potential of ingesting. That being said, the color of my spatula is lighter than it used to be, but it hasn't really affected the functionality of it. The only thing that I noticed is some splintering on the sides (only at the neck -- where the handle and head meet) which could be due to the lack of non-oil, but the interesting part is that the rest of the spatula is perfectly smooth and fine. Either way, it hasn't caused too much of an issue yet and if it starts to fall apart, I would most likely re-purchase again.I've also purchased the Italian Olive Wood Spoon 10-inch, which I rarely use since this spatula is more versatile and larger.

Lovely qualiy and workmanship
Olive wood spoons are the way to go where wooden spoons are concerned. I know Bamboo is all the fad right now as being eco friendly but I have found that the jointed pieces on bamboo split and as soon as a wooden spoon develops a crack it is time to throw it out. Besides I don't like the idea of glues being used in utensils exposed to high heat.Eddingtons has done a terrific job with the Olive wood spatula I ordered. The utensil is a single solid piece of olive wood. The edges are smooth and the lip of the spatula is graded so that you can slip it under delicate foods easily. Olive wood does darken and you need to look after it once in while with a quick rub down with oil. The wood also has a natural marl to it and you will see darker and lighter spots where the grain of the wood forms patterns. This is not dirt!! Just a natural aspect of the wood.I am very happy with this purchase!

Weird smell when heated up
Not the best thing to have a weird smell distracting from the food when using it. Has been relegated to scrape my pans clean duty at end of cook. Not even the best at that either as a cheapie flat edge bamboo is the go to.
