It works and is inexpensive

using this adapter for my 2008 benz and it actually worked! its making my old car feel like new and allowing me to stream music from my phone, finally!

The device randomly disconnects and at times hard to connect. It was cheaply made but since it's a simple device I thought it would last, but no... broke in a couple of months (randomly stopped turning on at all).

This review comes after multiple attempts to connect my 2008 Mercedes with an IPod connector. I tried using the Bluetooth device that charges from the cigarette lighter and connects to the radio. I was able to stream music from my phone, but the sound quality wasn’t that great and was there was static. All I had to do with this device was connected it to the iPod adapter and Bam amazing sound and perfect connection

It blinks red and blue light non stop On or Off. If you have the speaker in front of you -it will drive you crazy with the blinking especially at night.On top of that-when it connects or disconnects it makes weird loud sqeak beep sound. It startles me every time. The sound is clear and chrisp so I guess for now I will keep.

For those of us with an older sound dock or a car in the late 2000's to early 2010's that come with the older 30-pin Apple adatpers but no bluetooth capability, this is a must have. This device paired easily with my iPhone. Once paired, I can stream audio from whatever generation of iPhone to my car/sound dock directly and effortlessly. I have tried many similar adapters and found that many often consume more than 500 mAh of power such that an older car/sound dock will not be able to supply enough power to keep the device properly powered up. That said, this adapter worked wonderfully with my older Mercedes (that doesn't seem to supply enough power to work with most 30-pin adapters). And it delivers the signal cleanly and perfectly. Sound transferred through the device sounds prestine and authentic, with no static, distortions or intermitten hiccups. The only slight issue is the device does not convey song information correctly so you can't read the song/artist information on my car's digital display (some adapters do, but most don't). For this slight issue, I am taking a star off for an otherwise great 30-pin wireless adapter that could, and at a great price point.

If you need to hook up a Bluetooth device to an older Bose system that has the old iPhone connector prior to lightning then this is for you. Very inexpensive and works perfectly from a far away distance.
