Philodendron Verrucosum - Ecuador Philodendron - Live Starter Plant in a 2 Inch Pot - Extremely Rare Indoor Houseplant - A Marvel of Nature's Elegance

I received the philodendrum today and I am very disapointed. Two lanky strands came in a 1" pot not 2" as described. There are some nodes on the starnds and I will be able to do something with them and make a plant but I do not feel that I came close to having received value for the money. I will not recommend this merchant

Well first of all, the packaging is harder to get into than Fort Knox. I suppose that’s a good thing considering everything held together nicely during shipping, and they even put a heating pack in there which is great! After finally getting into the first layer of packaging it was dripping wet through the other layers. Fungus gnats came flying out of the steam wrap once I got through that second layer. It was very wet and the leaves were soaked, so of course that’s a fungus gnats dream. The plant itself is one big long vine, very thin and very leggy. I’m not exactly mad about that because there are several nodes I can cut to make multiple plants so basically for the price I got many different plants if I propagate cuttings. The plant itself seems to be in good condition with the exception of a few ripped leaves but all in all it looks healthy. I haven’t checked the roots yet because I want to let it rest for a few days before messing with it but I’m hoping the roots look good as well. Not the best looking plant and certainly not the best plant I’ve ordered on Amazon but I’m still happy with the purchase and excited to watch it grow and thrive!
