Fun math game for kids
This is a fun math game that has different levels based on the kid's ability. This game makes it more fun to learn math and is more fun than just using flash cards. It is a nice quality game.

Better than flash cards, uses game format to reinforce math facts
What was good:• Straight forward: quite easy to explain to kids… and adults.• Tends to be balanced and kid friendly… each player starts with several wildcards each round, and the points for captured monster cards are close. With minimal coaching the scores will tend to be very similar at the end.• Reasonable playing time per game. This could be used in a classroom. At home it can be used for a quick learning session.• Cards are a good size for younger kids to handle. The monster (points) cards are 2.5” by 3”, and the capture number digit cards are 1.75” by 2.5” in size. See my photos.• The unit I received was well protected by the seller in anticipation of Amazon’s handling. It was wrapped in bubble wrap to avoid the box being damaged or coming open in the Amazon facilities and delivery. See my photo. So, what’s so-so or not good:• This can be a bit random… since capturing 5 monster cards is about 5-6 rounds and not much choice in cards to play. But it is short.• Gets a bit boring and repetitive after a couple games. But that is to be expected, since the primary learning goal is reinforcing the multiplication tables, so they become memorized.• After a few plays our two grandsons (ages 7,8) lost a lot of interest. Older kids are likely to not be interested very much and should know their multiplication tables. For regular kids, my view is ages 7 to 9 for this. This is good for learning sessions at home or when traveling and fits in a small space. This review is for the “Yuka Champs Upmath Flash Cards Multiplication Game, Math Card Games for Kids Ages 6-12 …” on Amazon currently.Note, the version I selected is the “Multiplication” facts game. As I write this review Amazon currently also has other math versions also.

Slightly more fun than drilling multiplication facts
My kids (ages 12, 9, 8) all need a lot of help learning their multiplication facts. I tried disguising this as something fun by putting it in my daughter's stocking, but it is February, and none of them have touched it. The only thing that sets this apart as a game, not just flashcards, is that there are points associated with solving the problems. And they've added a monster theme to make it more fun. Winning this game is based almost entirely on luck- either drawing the right cards to solve the problem or having the cards to solve the problems which are worth more points. This game has no timed element, as players take turns and can take as much time as they like. The multiplication problems are grouped into three levels, with the smaller numbers being the easiest. You can work through the levels or adapt the game to fit kids with different skill levels simultaneously. This will be "forced-math-fun" at our house, as well as used as flashcards, and will hopefully help them get better at multiplication, but I don't think any kid would pick this game over others on the shelf. The production quality is good, and the cards are thick and very glossy. And it comes in a nice portable box (though not super sturdy). This could be a fun addition to a classroom.

Simple and fun
My daughter struggles with multiplication facts. This was a great way to help her commit those to memory. The game is simple to play, but fun. The cards are colorful, easy to hold and heavy duty.

Fun but still feels educational
I have a couple of kiddos struggling with their multiplication facts, so I thought this would help add some time to our multiplication fact review. The materials of this game are well-made and durable with sturdy, wax covered cards that hold up nicely. The directions for the game are pretty straightforward and it’s easy to pick up and play pretty quickly. My kids and I had fun playing even a short game but it did feel very educational. There’s not a ton of distractions in the game to make it feel more gamified . Do like that there are three levels of cards so I could customize what my younger child was learning versus my older child to make it more fair. We will probably pull this game out to play from time to time but I’m not sure how enthusiastic my kids actually are about it. I guess it’s better than doing math worksheets so they might go for it.
