R&L Sweet & Dandy Mauby Syrup 2ltr

I was first given Mauby syrup at a Caribbean party, and was shocked at how many people crowded around waiting for me to taste it. Was it because I was a white 50+ woman or because it was so disgusting? I was told that it is like Marmite - you either love it or hate it. It smells sweet and tastes initially like cream soda, then the bitter kick hits! It is lovely. So many soft drinks either are so sickly or have no flavour. This bucks the trend as it is sweet and bitter at the same time. It is one of the most refreshing flavours I have tried. Perfect for a hot summers day.Most of the time I mix it like a squash - with water, but occasionally mix it with coconut water. There is some research which shows that mauby mixed with coconut water drunk regularly can reduce blood pressure (the mix works better than either product alone)

Had this a few years ago in Barbados. We should have returned autumn 2020 but it was cancelled . Until lockdown is over, this is a great treat with health benefits. It tastes like Cream Soda with a bitter after taste kick. 😋 Very impressed with this large bottle, should last a good while.

I used the product as a cordial, it's a refreshing cool drink. I like the fact that I can get it in a large bottle, and the taste is delicious.

The Mauby drink is excellent, what l had expected. The price and postage l found a little bit steep. Overall, no complaints, you want the best, l suppose you got to expect to pay a little bit more.

A great taste and wonderful l mixture of spiced , vanilla and sugar. This makes a great summer drink with ice or with something stronger if that is to your taste and if you like the bit extra" alcohol" to freshen it up. Good value for money and good drink

This is a traditional Eastern Caribbean non alcoholic drink but I had to sign for it when it was delivered. Why?
