Excellent Resource for the RPSGT Exam Challenger
If you need to brush up on your knowledge before writing RPSGT, this is a decent book to purchase. I read through it in less than a day and it does clarify some of the lesser understood concepts of polysomnography.I am not certain this text would be of much value to the student who has attended a formal CPSGT/RPSGT Program (I am NOT referring to the 1 month - 6 month certification programs that are out there) since their respective programs should be sufficient. For those who need a better understanding of General Polysomnography to support pre-existing healthcare training (RN, RPN/LPN, RRT, CRT, etc, etc) this is a good support to cover "the essentials." It's especially good if you have the opportunity to apply some of the concepts in an actual Sleep Lab.

they recommended this book
This book is the newest and most comprehensive book on sleep technology. I read several other books and still did not understand some subtleties of the field. The BRPT is the organization that gives the board exam I need to pass to become an RPSGT. When I had questions about a couple of practice test rationales, they recommended this book. It has clarified tons of points for me. I just wish the college I took the sleep technology course from had used this book. INCREDIBLE!
