Q: Why does it say hand wash when others by same company don't say that?

I did not notice that. I have been machine washing mine for months now. I figure this is 2022, hand wash, really? My shirt looks fine.

Q: If washed in the sink on travel will it dry overnight?

Yes. I have done this before. Hang to dry in doorway or on the shower bar, someplace well ventilated to ensure fully drying. Squeeze out as much water as possible before hanging.
