Used to power a thermostat hooked to a 12 volt incandescent bulb. So far working great

Worked fine for 9 months powering under cabinet LED strips. Lights are now dim. Unit is not putting out full voltage under load anymore.

The comments and opinions are based on my knowledge of similar products and experience using the product listed.I tested this 12VDC / 6A power supply to see what the output voltage was unloaded and low current loaded. It was 12VDC both unloaded and drawing under 2A using an external 3.5" hard drive.Next I have a RAID drive system that did not have a backup power supply. It is rated to need 12VDC @ 4.5A and I had been thinking I had better get a replacement one just in case the current on goes bad. When I saw this one was rated at 6A which is more than I needed, I decided to get it. I was taught it is better to have a little overhead space than to run up against the rails (or close to 100% capacity). 6A gives me 25% overhead which is good.I am now running this power supply on my RAID system for a while to break it in and I see no issues with it. It barely gets warm and the system has not had any problems with this supply powering it.If you have any 12V devices that need a bit more current than can be supplied by the common 'wall wart' type of power supply, check out this unit. I think you'll find it can handle the job up to its rated 6A.
