Phippsburg

I purchased this book because my family is from the Phippsburg and Bath Maine area. There are several photos of aunt, uncles and even my great-grandmother as a child with her sisters. I have enjoyed sitting with my father and his sisters and learning and documenting more and more about my family history. It is very informative about life in Maine in the early and mid 1900's as well as life in small towns and villages along the Eastern Seaboard.If you arent familiar with the area you may or may not enjoy it, if you like reading and learning about places you've never been it will be a gem to include in your library. If you are familiar with the customs, tradition and history of Phippsburg it will be a treasured addition.

My hometown.

My parents are moving to Phippsburg for retirement and I bought this book for my dad for Christmas. They have other books from this series that about other towns they have lived in or that they care about. The gift was well received and is being enjoyed. The information is interesting and it makes a great gift for residents of Phippsburg.
