I was looking for a discreet, compact, outdoor security camera to supplement my existing security camera setup that wouldn’t need to be plugged into a power outlet; but instead could be powered by the sun. I was looking for the cleanest, most simplest install I could find—one that didn’t require me to run another long Ethernet cable (I have two 4K POE “Power Over Ethernet” cameras already running which do not have WiFi capability)—in other words, I wanted to go totally WIRE-FREE for this install. I planned on putting this camera at the far-end of my home to cover my backyard patio door. It also needed to have decent picture quality, a micro-SD slot for memory, the ability to withstand outside elements, AND not cost me an arm and a leg (or any other body part.) A pretty big list of demands, I know! So I was not really expecting to find anything close to what I wanted while being cost-effective.But, lo-and-behold, the camera gods have answered my prayers! And thus, I happened across this wonderful little camera that had everything I was looking for, and more! First what blew me away was the price. For just under $40, you get this awesome little outdoor camera that’s packed tight with lots of features. Second, it comes with its own little solar panel, all the mounting hardware, and a usb-c charging cord. This camera’s design is also much more aesthetically appealing than a lot of the other options I was considering which was great! Even the solar panel is well-designed, and is not an ugly eye sore. The picture quality is not incredibly detailed but it’s not horrible, it’s actually pretty decent for 2K. I’ve included a screenshot so you can decide for yourself. I’ve seen worse picture quality in higher priced cameras though to be honest!Setup was very simple, and the WiFi connection is still stable at a far distance from my router. The WiFi connection strength in the app shows 96% signal strength, even though my router is located far inside near the opposite end of the house with multiple walls and obstructions, etc. Of course it helps to have a strong performing router, so your numbers might vary here. But I was still very impressed with the quality of the signal and the camera’s ability to maintain a solid connection, which is critical for being able to capture events and such.The solar panel also comes with its own mounting hardware. I was also equally impressed by its power output; once you have it correctly installed and facing the sun in the right direction, plug this into the camera and you’ll never need to worry about it losing power. Set it and forget it!Now of course this camera is not as powerful as say the 4K POE cameras I have installed at the front of my house, which come with many more high-performance features and the high resolution needed to read license plates and all that. But for under $40 you can’t go wrong. If you’re looking to supplement an existing setup, this is a great option to mix with your better performing cameras for areas on your property that require an extra pair of eyes, and all you have to do is “set it and forget it.” It’s also a great camera for anyone looking for a low cost option, but still wants a decent picture quality and extra features. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase!

Easy setup and the cameras work excellent day or night with clear image. Long battery life and I only recharge once every 3-5 months depending on how many alerts and I use a solar panel connected to keep the front door cam charged where there is high traffic as i live across the street from a church. I have 4 of these connected and the app has many useful features and settings to customize to my needs for each camera location including setting to alert to a specific area within the entire field of view.Customer service was very helpful, can be called by phone or contacted through chat within the app 24x7 and (Ann) helped me resolve any questions or issues I had.Highly recommend!!

Have 4 cameras working great, a home base and door belt! Great picture quality, easy to install!Will recommend this product!

Update.. after using this all winter we see that the solar panel isn’t charging. The customer service has been responsive and says it won’t charge below freezing but even when it is a warm sunny winter day we are losing battery percentage, and the icons indicate it is charging. Therefore, every few weeks we have to climb up the ladder to connect the cable to plug it in. If it was mounted further from an outlet this would be a problem.I have this pointing at my front driveway. The motion detector works really well and the picture is very good quality. Once we pointed it down so it wouldn’t catch the trucks driving by, we stopped getting random notifications of movement. Sometimes I get a message that it’s not charging and to make sure the solar panel is plugged in, but it seems like it’s charging and after a month it’s still holding at around 85%. What I really love is you don’t have to subscribe, the videos are stored on the SD card which you have to buy separately, and you can download to your phone any videos you want. This is a great value.

This is a great camera. Clear photos and videos, night vision, you can talk to people though it, easy set up, solar charging, good notifications and support easy to connect. Well worth the money. We're in a rental and couldn't that's wired into anything and this connection was a breeze.

I Try so many cameras. I bought so far 27 TOUCAN WHICH I LOVE SO MUCH, 4 DROPED ACCIDENTALLY AND NO LONGER WORKING, I WANTED TO BUY MORE, But unfortunately, the price is too high. So I decided to buy something different. Did lots of research came up with this camera. I bought four it was nice, I charged the battery easy set up. I came to install in a wall. I noticed that it doesn't go to the right or left. Only straightforward sadly. I wanted to get something very close to TOUCAN Camera. This was it. I was not used to the base at first. How to play around to get to learn everything I put 3 at my friend's house keep 1 for me. Then I noticed it would not work without the base.It was at her house, so I order two more with a base. I connected all 3 together.. So now everything works, I get to watch her house unmine. I hope in the future it could work on this camera to move it to the right and left it would be nice, otherwise, it's great for the price. The battery lasts long. I shall order 2 more or maybe 4. I'm thinking about it right now. The good thing about this is the battery last long. That's why it's so big and heavy. If you're looking for a good camera, No monthly payment.Then this is good for you.

Cameras give good footages. Sound quality is good as well. Did a lot of research and finally bought these for indoor and the solar ones same brand for outdoor. Easy set up, night vision is great. Been having them for 3 months and loving it. Costumer also great as well to answer all the questions I had.

Was sceptical at First ! However when we got to using them it was amazing . Clear pictures day and night. Programming was a breeze , easy to install and set up. So far battery and solar power has been at 100% winter will be the test ! Love the fact you can take pictures and video right to your phone, and alerts . Not using cloud service is a plus instead using micro chip storage. No need to spend big bucks anymore ! On a decent security system.

I love my cameras. It provides extra security and it is easy to set up. The battery is rechargeable and last a very long time. I only recharged it once in 8 months and it is being triggered by motion every day.The image is very goo even at night. I’m very satisfied and I recommend it.I got the 2 cameras and base package that record on my phone. There’s an option to record on the cloud as well. The package I got does not require a subscription.
