So nice!
This puffer is so great and really great high quality! My husband absolutely loves it and it fits him well! He has more than enough room where it's not too big or too tight. It's just right!

Heavy duty. Very impressive
I am 6’1 270 and the xxxl will fit over my heavy hoodie for work. Zipper is solid. Fabric is light but strong ballistic type nylon. Vest is not bulky at all. Perfect for an extra layer in windy or rainy conditions or just by itself.Additionally info. I have worn the vest 2 times and just had a snap fell off. Will have to shoot them a message. We will see.

Can easily be used with a shell system jacket.
This review is for the HARD LAND Men's Padded Puffer Vest Outdoor Water-Resistant Winter Vest for Men With 11 Cargo Pockets. The vest arrived in a plastic pouch. The vest's pockets were checked against the Amazon ad's specifications and were all there. The workmanship seems to be good. The arm opening is overlapped for extra strength. The zipper shield's snap fasteners are adequate to hold it in place. My first impression was the lightness of the jacket for a synthetic fill. Some vests are down (the stuff beneath the feathers of a goose or duck) filled for very lightweight yet high thermal resistance to keep the body heat inside. With synthetics, more is needed for the same down-filled characteristics, and the vest becomes bulky. The fill in this vest, as well as the entire jacket, is polyester. Because of its lightweight, it would provide insulation down to about 45-50oF. Down, however, doesn't do well when wet and can become lumpy, lose thermal resistance, and is more expensive. Synthetic fill will not lose its thermal properties when wet.The vest also felt a bit tight for a size large, based on my experience. I'm 198 lbs, 6 ft. This, however, could be a good thing. It improves trapping air to increase thermal effectiveness when fully zipped and allows for a shell-type jacket to be worn over it, such as this product sold on Amazon, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09K382568. This shell would provide wind and rain protection and trap air around the arms for more thermal protection. When the weather improves, the shell can be removed. The most critical component of a vest is the zipper. The zipper seems to be well made, but I recommend a zipper lubricant because vests are tight. Search Amazon for this: zipper lube for metal zippers. The vest comes with a tag that identifies the zipper manufacturer. This is unusual. Doing a search on Dalian YKK Zipper Co. Ltd pulls up Bloomberg with their confirmation of the company and other sites. This means that the zipper company is, as we say, putting their money where their mouth is. Hence, you would assume the same quality in the vest overall.

Best Vest Yet
This is a beautifully designed and constructed vest. My day’s test of it started by wearing it over a thin cotton long sleeve shirt. This was before dawn when it was 43F or about 6C out. I sat outside for a half hour watching the moon and stars chatting with Sorcha, our dog. The vest kept me adequately warm. I then set out for my day’s usual tasks. This is a well made and well designed garment. I particularly like the YKK zipper because I have bad luck with zippers but have come to recognize that brand as by far the best. There’s a snap fly that covers the zipper so a strong wind can’t get through the zipped halves of the vest. There are numerous secured pockets as well as the two conventional unsecured pockets common to most vests. All the pockets, secured and unsecured, are deep. I can’t measure the total capacity of this vest but it did great work holding the many little parts I take with me on photography outings. The only trivial issue I have is with the uppermost snap. When fastened, the neck extension is so high that I can wear it only mashed down. It does work as a neck insulator this way. I also had to fuss a bit too much to get the upper snap secured.I’d prefer a hook and loop set in the neck area but this is a trivial issue against an otherwise excellent vest that both kept me warm sitting before dawn but not overheated as I grew active throughout the day. Add the pockets and the windproofing to total up a great outdoor garment.

Great vest for 'what's in your pocketses'?
Not only did this vest keep me warm during a heat outage (over a week) but it's also great for transporting small essential items while working at home or traveling. The 'pocketses' are many (10) and deep - handy for stashing the iPhone, keys, comb, magnifier, pocket mirror, sticky notes, pens & vitamin gummies as well as kitty toys & other necessities of modern life.I deliberately ordered it extra large and like to wear it unzipped while working online at home. This allows me to keep the windows open on those chilly spring mornings. :) Though I haven't yet worn this vest in wilderness country, it is well designed, well insulated and comfy, so it should be suitable for any outdoors adventure.Bottom Line: it's definitely a 5-star vest! :)
