Saved my sprinkler system!
Bought this to patch a hole in my sprinkler system that the fence company I hired damaged. I went to the local menards and Home Depot and they didn’t have anything that’s 1 inch. This did the trick and it was easy to put install and tightened. Recommended.

It works!
Apparently the previous owners of this house bypassed the original copper on the main water line from the well and used poly. I nicked it with a shovel when digging up an adjacent line and tried to repair with a barbed coupling but the size seemed slightly off (not sure how old the poly was). I order one of these couplings not really having very high hopes, but it worked. I installed it and let sit under pressure (~40-50psi) for 24 hours before burying and it didn't seem to leak at all. No telling how long it will hold, but I'm very satisfied and relieved I didn't have to replace the whole line.

Wow...where were these things all my life!
I will never go back to the old couplers again. I have bought many of these now of various sizes for my farm.

Minor threading difficulties, but worked in the end
Very simple to install. I needed 2 of these to patch my mistake. 2 of the threaded ends bit into the tubing quite well, the other 2 did not. This could have been due to my unique situation, but possibly have some hose clamps on hand just incase. The patch is holding and my sprinkler heads are working once again. I did not end up needing any additional components other than a knife to cut my tubes.

Works well, easy to install!
I attempted to use a barbed fitting to repair a cut I accidently made in my sprinkler line, but even three clamps per side and lots of Teflon tape wouldn't prevent the repair from dripping. I found this product and it was incredibly easy to use and created a leak proof repair. Highly recommended.

Fast and permanent repair
I damaged a one inch line in my lawn irrigation system, and wanted to avoid the expense of having the installer come out for the repair. I tried to do the repair myself, but the high pressure in the line kept causing leaks. When I found the Watts ANKA coupler, it seemed like the solution to my problem. I agree with a previous review - it took me longer to remove my failed repair than it did to install the coupler. Cut the tube, push the coupler in place, tighten the blue retainers, and you're done. Great product for a super price.

May not self-thread on hard poly flex tubing
I wanted to extend an existing 1" diameter poly flex tubing lateral lines that are used for my underground irrigation. The male ends of the connector fit (but are really hard to get on so you may have to twist or heat up the poly line) but once on I couldn't get the screw on connector to "bite" and thread the poly tubing. So I ended up using hose clamps and didn't use the screw on connection at all. In the end, I was able to make it work, but I should have just bought a simpler connector as the features of this item didn't work for me.

Fixed my sprinkler leak!
If I could give this 10 stars I would. Extreme novice doing landscaping and cut a sprinkler line. This allowed me to fix the leak in about 15 minutes.
