Q: Can this be used for tumble dryer vent hose?

I used it for a bathroom extractor fan and is ideal in that it holds it's position, so wont sag in my loft and collect condensation. I can see no reason why it would not work on the back of a tumble drier, there are much cheaper pipes that would equally do the job for a tumble drier and are lighter and more flexible. The advantage of this is that it is not likely to perish in time as a fabric one might.

Q: Can use this exposed? I want to use this for a cooker hood so I was wondering if it would support its own weight or would it sag overtime with heat?

I think you have answered your own question, there are too many variables in what you are asking, personally I would fit some kind of support.
