Q: Is it suppose to leak? I clamped the top on but when walking it outside the sugar water spilled out the sides. What am I do wrong?

I thought mine was leaking but realized it was the ant water slot. If I fill it too high it will leak out some water. Have two of these feeders and mine don’t leak. It’s snaps tight, and then I add water after it’s closed to the center can’t guard hole. Works fantastic.

Q: What is nectar quantity held

The person asking the question didn't ask how full someone fills it, they want to know how many ounces it holds so to know how much to make for a single batch. I would like to know also. Please don't answer if you don't know. Not helpful.

Q: Is the moat in the middle only for fresh water?

Yes the moat in the middle is for water only as it drowns ants from getting into the sweetened water in the feeder. You should also put some Vaseline on the brass hanger ad well to deter the ants. I love this feeder and so do the hummingbirds
