Greenhouse necessity
I have the aluminum framed greenhouse with polycarbonate panels. The greenhouse is sheltered from the wind, but it does get the morning sun and the afternoon sun. In order to not hotbox my plants, I needed to provide more ventilation than just opening the vent and the door. I purchased this exhaust fan to help expel the hot air. With the vent and the door open, I have this fan running to move the hot air out of the greenhouse. It does NOT have a thermostat, but I did put a thermometer that allows me to monitor the temperature in the greenhouse from inside the house 24/7. I also have it plugged into an Alexa enabled plug, so I can use voice control to turn the exhaust fan on and off as needed. I did have to cut through the polycarbonate panel to install this and brace it on the aluminum frame. I made a template out of the cardboard that was in the shipping box. I carefully marked the area and cut it with a standard utility knife. That was not difficult, but I was careful. I am pleased with the performance of the fan since it does exactly what I need it to do.

Size 12 x 12 is not exact. It's a little over with the rivits and frameing.
My hole was exactly 12 in. by 12 in. in hard steel. This was 1/2 over by 1/4 over. It would not fit.

Shop fan
I have a shop that is about the size of a 2 car garage.The shop is very humid in the summer and i needed the air to be sucked out to make it comfortable. I cut a hole in the ceiling NOT the ROOF of the shop and mounted it and now the shop feel a lot better and im not breaking a sweat just standing around.

You need to be a electrician to install it. It had to be wired and needs more power

It moves a lot of air,and it's quiet. I added wood strips to the outside and painted them to cover the screws.

Designated for Greenhouse
I ordered this for our Fall greenhouse build. I want to add a speed controller and a timer when it is installed. It seems like a very sturdy fan. I can’t wait to have a greenhouse to use it in.

Perfect for GreenHouse
I bought this new greenhouse and needed a fan for temp control in hot humid days. This fan easily installed and provides the convenience of being able to set the control to turn on or off depending on temp so it conserve energy at night and turns on when temps near dangerous levels for the plants. Some like it hot and some don't ya know...
