Stanco Non-Stick Family Size Broiler And Pan, Black

This family size broiler and pan is perfect for my family. I ordered it because my smaller broiler did not have adequate drainage and caused a small greese fire in my oven when I shut the oven door while broiling. Not only does it provide good drainage it is very easy to clean due to its non-stick coating.

The top of this broiler pan is nice, which is what we were looking for. The bottom is very thin, not like our old small broiler pan. I chalk this up to 'nothing is made like it used to be.'

The broiler pan is not non stick the bottom is but the top does not clean well. I cooked a steak the pan was almost impossible to get clean I cleaned it just as I was told, even tried the dish washer, very disappointed.

I was very excited waiting to receive this since it was non stick. I was disappointed upon its arrival due the to weight (or lack there of) This is clearly an aluminum pan coated with a non stick surface.The pan itself performed fine and cleaned up nicely after broiling steaks.Everytime I pick up this pan I am disappointed. For the money I expected a heavier pan.I'll continue to use it, but I don't expect it to be a lifetime lasting purchase.

If you are looking for a pan at the size indicated on this site (16.8 x 12.8 x 2 inches), this is not the pan for you. We ordered the family size and it was smaller than we expected at the measurements of 16.5 x 12.5 x 1-1/4 inches. We sure could have used the extra height as it was advertised.We have used it once. After reading other reviews about the issue from others being disappointed in the lack of being non-stick, we used parchment paper on the top tray (with slits) and added water to the bottom tray for the fat to run into. That seemed to be helpful and made cleaning it easier, but not non-stick.

This mini-broiler pan arrived quickly & was packaged well, but not overly packaged.Cooking for one or two is what I wanted this item for and it's perfect for the task.It hasn't warped while being used under a very hot broiler element, it cleans up easily even when left in the oven overnight and it's easy to store in my lower "stove drawer" given it's smaller size.

I have used a variety of this type of broiler pan for years. The smaller size is perfect if you only have two people to feed. I always use tin foil in the bottom so clean up is easier. For the top, just make sure you get that very clean after each use to prevent old oils or meat juices from getting baked on the next time you use it. It will become gummy after a time if you don't do this.

We have been using this since Christmas and I would say that it is an improvement over standard aluminum or steel oven broiler pans....less sticking and mess to clean up....but I still spray the surface with some PAM or other cooking oil prior to use just to help reduce the sticking. I also like to add a little water to the bottom pan so that when the fat juices run down they float on the water instead of being bake onto the pan surface. Just be careful when removing the whole thing from the oven as you do not want that water to slosh out on you or your floors and counters;)
