Product works good as far as being able to wirelessly tap in to the CarPlay, but there’s a downside.Seems you’re never disconnected from the device, even when you car is turned off. I had trouble with it connecting when I’m on my phone when I’m in my office or house. No matter how far I was, it would interrupt a call by connecting. You don’t know until you can no longer hear the person you’re talking to. It became such a problem, that I had to walk out of my office and unplug the unit from my car.Even when I toggle it off from my Bluetooth settings, it automatically reconnects. I inquired with the manufacturer, and they said I have to turn off Bluetooth and WiFi on my phone when out of the car. I thought that was an unreasonable suggestion because I use both for other applications.

I bought this item to be used on a Mazda CX-30, Mazda cars do not have a touch screen, they use a knob control to move around. Android auto works fine, but I cannot configure the wifi settings of the device because the knob control of the car will not work with the wifi password keyboard. I mean, I go to settings -> wifi, turn wifi on and then select my phone's hotspot network, then I try to enter the password, a keyboard appears, but I cannot use it to type in the password because there is no way to move the focus with the knob to the keyboard. Also, when on the Android option, controls do not work as before, for example, I could move the car knob to the left to go from the open app to the android auto menu and move it back to the right to go back to the open app, this does not work. The only way to go to the menu from the current opened app is by using the back button, the same for switching apps, for example to move from google maps to spotify you have to go through the menu, when not using this device you can use the knob control to move between the two open apps in the screen.The manual says the device can be updated, I do not know if that could fix this problem but the manual (nor on this amazon page) does not mention were such update could be downloaded.UPDATE - JUNE 2023: The seller sent me for free a remote wireless control, so I could test it with the device, and see if I was able to better control it with it. Typing anything with the wireless control is really annoying, it is very slow to move so, it is hard to type anything with it. That being said, probably the only time you will need to use it to type is when entering a password. For example, when setting up the wireless network, or when configuring the YouTube or Netflix accounts. After that, you can use the voice control, or browse through the application content with the wireless control or the car's knob control.About the wireless control and the YouTube and Netflix applications: the control works fine with YouTube, you can use the control's arrows to move around, but to select a video to be played, you need to use the wireless control to point at the desired video and click it. The car's knob control works exactly in the same way, you can use it to browse the videos, but to play them, the wireless control is the only way to reproduce a video by pointing at it and clicking it. Curiously, the knob control works fine to select a video when browsing the video playlist that appears at the right of the video being played.With Netflix is a different story. It seems that Netflix's mobile interface is designed exclusively to be used with a touchscreen by scrolling through the content using your fingers; hence the wireless control does not work at all with this application (the same with the knob control). With the wireless control, you can only play the suggested video that appears on the main screen because you cannot scroll through the screen's feed with it. The search option does not work, when it is selected, the application crashes (and as I said before, using a keyboard with the wireless control is very annoying). The only way to use Netflix is by using the voice control from the wireless control, and this works fine, you just need to know what you want to view beforehand, so you know what to search for.Sadly, because of what I described before, I had no other choice than to return this item. If my car had a touchscreen, I would be very happy with it! But, would like to applaud the seller's excellent support and disposition to solve my issues. They answered quickly to my questions and tried everything to help me get their product working, even, as I said, sending a remote control for free. I have modified my rating because of this.

I have had this device for a little over a month now. I use it on my 2022 Harley Davidson Road Glide. It works great for about 5 minutes at a time then shuts off and on for about 5 minutes. I have tried to update it that didn’t work. I also tried it in my truck and it does the same thing. Not worth the money.

First of all, the product arrived very fast and I had no problems on that end. So this is almost exactly what was advertised, but it is terrible quality compared to iPhone apps. This looks to run on an old version of android. Terrible quality. So not really the device but it is. Android YOUTUBE and Apple Music are terrible and kept crashing. The one bad thing about the device is it got very hot very quickly. It took almost no time to setup and I tried it for about 10 mins. YouTube app crashed several times. Netflix would not display right so I gave up. When I unplugged the device it was almost too hot to touch. If it would have worked there is no way I would have left it in my car.
