A nice piece of instrument to have.
The media could not be loaded. Hey! Where is that beautiful voice coming from? I'm going to perform one song for everybody. When discussing thumb pianos, people use the instrument names kalimba, karimba, mbira or mbira sometimes with specific intent, and sometimes nearly interchangeably.Just like karimba, kalimba was originally one of the names of the traditional African lamellaphones. People in northern Zimbabwe referred to their instruments as kalimbas, while people in the rest of Zimbabwe referred to them as karimbas. In my mind, kalimba is a thumb piano is a nice informal name that will work for either a traditional or modern instrument. I find that most people don't know the name lamellophone, but they do know the name of thumb/finger piano. It can be pretty confusing when learning about either of these instruments. The kalimba looks pretty similar to an mbira, and both instruments consist of a wooden soundboard with steel keys that players depress and release with their fingers to create a tranquil, and bell-like sound. The kalimba also features a different percussive element. If you wave your fingers in and out of the holes, you’ll get a nice effect. This Kalimba mbira is absolutely a nice piece of instrument to own.

it was of an excellent quality both in build and sound production
This seller sent me a GuiStar (?) kalimba instead of a Mugig; this is not what I ordered and I advise others to be wary of purchasing. (I've ordered a 10key Mugig in the past and had no trouble with it; it was of an excellent quality both in build and sound production. This 17key, however, is very disappointing).

As advertised(?)
It could just be me, but the higher notes are harder to hit so if you cut your fingernails....good luck playing

I'm disappointed
I received my kalimba yet obviously not an original mugig kalimba. the manuals look very cheap and Chinese low quality and they keys are very stiff to play with the last 2 key on the left and the right sides almost impossible to make a sound. I'm disappointed
