The Perfect CampfireGrill Rebel is unlike any other charcoal grill. This portable Rebel grill fits about anywhere. Its two-piece stake, 10-inch by 12-inch grill rack, and charcoal pan all fit into the Rebel's own carrying bag. Load the charcoal pan with charcoal before packing, place the Rebel in your saddlebag, backpack or car, and you will be ready to cook when you arrive at your cook site. Like all Perfect CampfireGrills, the patented Rebel has the raised edge. This allows the chef to position food over the entire grilling area, right to the edge of the rack, without fear of losing it to the fire. The grill rack and charcoal pan connect to the stake with an L-Shaped screw. The stake is connected with a screw and snugs together with included wrenches.

Great for two people camping
This is not a large grill, nor is it built like a tank - it is a lightweight (meaning very easily portable) grill that will handle enough food for two people easily. We have not had any issues with it not swiveling, nor with heating issues or stripped threads like some of the other reviews mention. We use this in our vintage camper so that we can cook over the campfire and not have a lot of stuff cluttering up the small living space and it works wonderfully in this capacity. It packs up very handily in its own little bag, stows away in any small space, and while you can't place a dutch over on it, you can certainly cook steaks, burgers, brats, etc. When you assemble this there are two rod halves, the top rod screws into the lower rod and then grill and charcoal tray can be moved up and down this assembly as desired using the L shaped handles you can see in the picture. The two wrenches allow you to tighten the two halves once they are fitted together and are not required to adjust either of the trays. Hammer the bottom rod into the ground with a tent stake mallet (or a metal hammer with something to protect the rod from mushrooming over time like a bit of 2x4 or scrap lumber.) and then screw the top rod into the socket that serves as the top of the lower rod - assembling the grill in this order protects the threads on both rods from the impact of driving the lower half into firm ground. The use of the charcoal tray is optional - we use it sometimes and other times not. If you use it you do typically want it to be closer to the grilling surface than the picture shows, and this is not a problem to achieve. Without the lower tray you can adjust the height to get the food as close to or as far away from the fire as you like. That said, be advised that cooking 'over' the campfire is really more like cooking 'near' the campfire as lateral distance from the heat source is used to control the temperature rather than distance over top of the heat source - if you put the grill over top of the flames it will cook very fast and likely burn the food. Place the stake just to the side of the fire and then adjust the height to suit - the radiant heat will cook you food without burning, but it can take time to learn to cook over open wood fires. You should be able to easily rotate the grill closer to or farther from the heat unless something is damaged. Adjusting the height once the grill has been close to the fire will require thick gloves though, as the entire unit (which is metal) heats up quickly. As for cleanup, we typically place aluminum foil on the top surface, but that's just to make clean simple, but the grill surface can be cleaned with a scotchbrite pad just like any other grilling surface if you prefer. I particularly like the raised sides, which keep my sausages from rolling off the grill and ending up with ash as a condiment (something I don't overly care for.) If you want something that can withstand the weight of cast iron get something else that has legs and a larger flat surface, but if you motorcycle camp, car camp, or just want something small and lightweight this is a good tool for the job.

CampfireGrill + Motorcycle = Very Happy
I do a lot of camping with my motorcycle, and this grill is perfect for light camping and day hiking. Fits right into my saddlebag, sets up easy and quick. Cooks great! You can use either charcoal or small branches from under a hardwood tree such as Maple or Oak. Very well made. If you enjoy camping you love this little grill, however it is small, it will hold half a chicken, one large or two average steaks. It is great for grilling vegetables, as the movable grill lends itself for finding the proper temperature.Yes indeed........ if you camp alone or just a couple..... you will love this little guy!!!! Clean up is a plus as well just brush the ashes from the bottom plate, wash the stainless grill with soap or sand.

Mine was a return item with a stripped bolt.
It’s a decent little grill, but I got one that must’ve been returned because the bolt is stripped on the lower half, but it still usable.

Pretty Perfect little Grill
Great little grill works exactly as you think it would. It would be a full five star product if the stake was a little longer. The fire pits at some campgrounds are pretty high and in that situation you'll most likely find that you don't have much room to move the grate up. But its a great product and it worked well on my recent camping trip.

Well worth the price.
We received it and cooked on it a couple of times and we love it.

Great grill
It's easy to set up, is a sturdy grill, easily adjustable, and a lot better than a tripod, that swings, tips, and sometime dumping the food
