The Cherry Tree - Passion Fruit Curd, 210g

This is a great chutney, my mother loves it. Hence 5 star review for the product. I bought from Amazon for first time as price relatively reasonable. But unfortunately poorly packed - individual jars, in small plastic bags, loosely put in a cardboard box with virtually no padding. Inevitably one was shattered by time it got to me. Thankfully the plastic bag limited the mess in the box. And requesting a replacement didn't work as apparently item not eligible for return. So that part was disappointing.

I came across this while looking for something else, and thought I’d give it a go. It feels a little pricey, but considering it’s not mass produced, made in the UK (which is an expensive place to make anything) and factoring in delivery, I’d have to say it’s reasonably priced.I had the jar open within a minute of arriving and was slathered on some toast a mere couple of minutes later. I found it to be a most satisfying topping for the toast, not too sweet, which is my usual grievance with chutneys. It was so yum I immediately tried it with the leftover toad-in-the-hole and mash from the night before. It accompanied the sausages splendidly and very rapidly I had polished off a third of the jar!My only gripe, and it’s merely a personal preference, is that it could be a bit hotter, while it delivers a lovely tingle on the lips, I would like a little more punch, I’d also like a bit more garlic, but I am a self-confessed garlic lover.

This product is so tasty!

A tasty chutney with delicate garlic flavour and gentle spice to it. Definitely not a classic garlic pickle as it is heavy on the sugar. Really mild heat to it and more like a jam or sweet chutney.

Discovered the garlic pickle at a farmers market in the West Country probably ten years ago. Delighted it's now on Amazon as it absolutely delicious.

Have to say this is one of my mums favourite.The one jar has already gone and was very well recieved.I also used it in cakes for her and as a topping and have now been asked to make more so I definitely would recommend, was told was a lovely taste

Was looking for an affordable gluten free sandwich pickle as the usual one has been discontinued from the shops. Thought I would try this as it was reasonably priced and this is a very good tasting one. Will purchase again.

I ordered two bottles of the Spicy Tomato and caramelised onion Chutney but yesterday had one chutney and one orange marmalade delivered so had to ring Amazon for a refund as they are non returnableWe first encountered The Cherry Tree last May when they had a stall at a food fair at the Swannery in Abbotsbury, Weymouth . We tasted many of their range and every one was really delicious. We bought 3 products , The Blackcurrant with Sloe Gin and Cherry and Amaretto Jams and the spicy tomato and caramelised onion Chutney. The chutney was really good with an indian spice flavour and goes perfectly with a curry. All 3 were 340g. We still have one of the jams.It was disappointing to see shrink flation has occurred as the bottles are now 210g for the Chutney and 225g for the marmalade which we did not order .The products themselves deserve 5 stars , it's just a shame the bottle size has been reduced so much .The sloe gin jam is down frrom 340g to 225g , 1/3 smaller but the price is the same
