Holds Firm & Steady
My old Surface Pro 4 weighs 1.7 lbs. So I was concerned buying a stand of this type that it would not hold firm and steady, and that it might slip under the weight of my device. No worries! Very well-made and elegant-looking stand for my desk. Very solid. Has four separate hex screw hinges that can be tightened securely and do not slip. Also, it has plenty of ergometric configurations to help any user reduce neck, shoulder, and back pain from long hours of use.

Update - Plastic Nut to tighten the holder snapped in 2. Item replaced
I was able to contact support through their website. I sent an email with the issues I had and in 2 days a new one was sent to me. Excellent support, they replied to my email quickly and professionally. I would strongly suggest doing business with this company.

Works well with my iPad Air 4
I use my iPad for videoconferencing and needed a better setup than I had. Using this stand leaves room on my desk for note taking and lets me easily plug in to recharge. I can’t use it when the iPad is in its Logitech folio/keyboard because it’s too heavy and the iPad slides out of the bracket, but the stand does a great job of keeping the iPad alone stable and secure. It was easy to set up. Watch your fingers when removing your device, though, because the tension of the bracket is strong and it snaps back quickly.

Very well built stand!
Very well built stand, a little loose when holding my giant Android Tab FE, but my tablet is massive and I can actually make a configuration that works!

Good for a very reduced number of scenarios
First let me say that the build quality is actually pretty solid. The form factor is pretty good too. However, there are some design flaws that really limits the usefulness:1. The Allen wrench-based fastener joints are inconvenient. Unless you tighten them all the way, they can't support the weight of the arm. If you tighten them all the way you can't shift the arm at all. You actually need decent leverage(and an Allen wrench on hand)to tighten or loosen them so transitioning between the two states isn't a good option. If you have a static place for this ( particularly one that is close enough to read but somehow not in your way at all) then it might do the job well. If you look at most of the pictures, the screens are actually probably further than is practical for them to use. I also think it is like 15% smaller than ideal length.2. Of the six joints, four of them share a line. There's one joint that has fully circular rotation at the base and the ball joint on the joint closest to the gripper. The others all provide vertical rotation alone. While that means you can get a smooth arc, it means you are really limited on correcting the level/angle of screen. The ball does help with this a bit but if you are trying to use the arc to go around something it isn'tenough to fully correct. You can actually see this issue on both cooking/baking images on the listing(particularly the one with strawberries). In both images the arm is facing down with the screen, but it is below the height of the adult. That's because if it were tall enough to have down towards the adult, the ball joint wouldn't be able to rotate enough to get the angle right to line up with their faces. You'd probably need to swap one of the other joints to a ball or different angle of rotation to fully correct viewing angle. The arm segments are good enough build quality that i may try using them as parts for a modified arm. They are solid and compact in a way that many of the alternatives are not. Also it doesn't make the mistake of trying to add rotation to the base by having a cylindrical hole for the shaft with only a set screw to keep it steady. That design flaws exists on some alternatives and it really decreases the weight limit because the screw struggles to prevent sliding the shaft out and rotating the shaft with such a small point of contact. This arm's design has potential, but it doesn't fully realize it. There are probably some decent use-cases for it as is, but my guess is only about a quarter of what the potential implies.

Stays where you put it
This works exactly as stated. It stays where you adjust it to and is heavy enough the notebook stays put.

Not exactly what I expected
I've only had this tablet stand for a few weeks now but I have used it everyday and discovered two major issues. The first issue is that I can only use it in a very limited range, if I try to extend the tablet outward toward myself the weight of the tablet will tip the stand forward and send my tablet flying clear off the desk. That was really scary the couple of times it happened to me, I have a Samsung Galaxy tab S6 (128gb 4g) it was like $700, I just don't even use most of the range now, I can have it high or low but not extending forward at all. The other issue is that you have to keep the allen key (tool) by the stand at all times because it always has to be tightened or it just slowly droops down, that has to be done every day or so. The big issue is obviously that the base is to small and light, this could cost someone hundreds of dollars because they used the product exactly how it was intended to be used. I don't know exactly why the hinge always has to be tightened, maybe I got a bad hinge or maybe it is just the nature of the type of friction hinge being used that it will just inevitably loosen up. I thought about adding weight to the base so it would have no chance of tipping over anymore but I don't even really want to spend anymore time or money on this when the hinge system is still going to be annoying and most likely unusable in the short term future. This stand could have been great, it looks very nice, I got it in white and it looks great, it also feels very nicely made with good materials but it falls short in performance and could be an all out nightmare if you end up breaking a screen on a very expensive tablet.

Sturdy, strong, neat. Works very well for us.
We are actually using 3 of these in the house, one per person. 2 are used frequently for zoom and mine I use to hold a secondary screen to the side of my laptop at just the right angle for easy reference during video conferencing. It comes with 2 Allen keys to tighten joints if necessary. We have tightened them to hold the weight of our iPads. They all seem to be working just fine.
