The nut fits into the Yamaha AC1R's nut slot snugly. It is a little over 1 mm wider than the Yamaha nut. The string spacing (E to e, center to center) is 37.50 mm - very noticeably wider than the Yamaha's 35.77 mm. You may or may not want that. I am giving it a try. I didn't expect any sonic effect from the new nut. The new strings I put on along with the new nut probably far outweigh any effect of the nut.I am undecided whether to keep this one, go back to the original, or find or make something else. That wider spacing brings the E and e strings closer to the edge of the fretboard. That could be a problem for a player who bends the strings. For me, it's a matter of whether the wider spacing proves to be more or less comfortable than the original spacing.The nut slots needed quite a bit of filing to bring the strings close to the frets. This is not unusual. I recently bought a set of nut files and took care of that.I have not installed the saddle. Its length and thickness are a good fit. It is a lot taller than the one that is in the guitar now. It would need a lot of filing or sanding to provide good action. That, too, is to be expected. For now that's a project that can wait.

Saddled up and bought it for the saddle mainly. Nice replacement for the acoustic.

The nut and saddle fit nicely, however the saddle is slightly off by 1 mm in length for a Yamaha LLTA. Yamaha spec the length is 76mm and this saddle is 75mm. However all other measurements fit perfectly, no complaints.That said this sounds much better than the original plastic nut and saddle preinstalled in the guitar. There were noticeable improvement in projection, sustain, and overtones.Additional sanding was needed to set action up properly but that's to be expected with any bone nut and saddle.Overall would highly recommend
