I ordered this switch to replace the forward/reverse switch on my shaper. After review and bench testing this switch, it should do the job. The switch appears well built and operates smoothly; all contacts check out well on continuity tests. The switch comes with two cable glands and a gasket.

Directions were not that great

I got this switch to use on my metal lathe. I was hoping it could be used to reverse the direction of the motor. I t won't work for my motor because the type of motor on my lathe. I will find another use for it. The switch is a good switch with good contacts and positive locking action in all positions. The cable glands are nice but take up a lot of room in the box. The box/housing is real small for the number of wires that are required to power a motor. It is hard to get all the wires into the box and connected to the switch. I would not get this switch again because of the small housing.

The switch itself works great, but the wiring area is WAY TOO SMALL! You can't wire anything into it. Make the box bigger.
