It comes with a fun casting fish to play with and a couple of other fun things to use to fish with that you can actually catch fish on. Hook, Line, and Sinkers. Lol, but for reals, you have everything in this little fishing kit but the fish you’re going to be catching. My daughter has been totally off the walls excited about her new fishing kit. She’s been going out fishing with me this past summer and has been enjoying reeling in daddy’s fish. But now, she has her own fishing pole, her own tackle box, and a cool bag to carry it all. We haven’t been able properly break it in yet with all this colder weather blowing around, but soon for sure.The quality is definitely a match of all Plussino fishing equipment. They make a great product and this is another one to add to the list. My favorite part is the rod itself. It is light weight and balanced nicely for a kid to use and learn on. The best part of it is the grip, it is made of this soft nice foam material that is pleasing to grip and hold onto.Overall this is a great starter set for any kid that wants to be like their parent/grandparent. The cost is perfect for the amount of gear you receive and it’s ready to be fished with right out of the box. And it comes with its own little fishing bag to conveniently carry and keep everything together with. I like it, and my daughter loves it. I can’t wait to officially break it in.

Having their own kit improved this for me.This is a great little rig for kids. The pole is roughly 6’ in length with a medium action. The telescoping process of the pole is a great benefit if you walk to your fishing location, or if you expect your child to carry their own rod and gear. As for the tackle, I was pretty happy with it. A word of caution, the bells will not stay on the rod tip when casting, which we learned when my kid was a bit overzealous with her casting. The brass weight, beads, grubs and bobber were all nice quality. Having their own kit with their own tackle, and their own carrying case makes them feel special and helps to keep them out of my gear, which is an added benefit.Is this comparable to a abugarcia with Rapala tackle, no, but you should not be expecting anything close to that within this price point.The best rating I can give is whether I would buy a second for my other kid, and the answer to that is yes. I’ll be ordering a second kit in green.

So, I keep a telescopic rod/reel and small set of jigs in my car trunk 365 days a year in case I get to a water spot in my Jeep that I feel like casting into looking for a bite. My daughter was always jealous as her pole is too long to carry in the jeep full time so she is left out unless we take the truck. Well not anymore, she was excited beyond belief she now has a full time rod/reel in the Jeep for this opportunities that come about on some rare occasions. Impromptu casting is fun when on a weekend adventure but fishing spots present themselves but weren't planned out.This is a decent quality rod/reel for the price. As solid as her regular non-telescopic rod we purchased at W Mart for the same price point. This has the huge advantage of portability that is tough to beat on occasion. I love you can keep it set up and deploy it in just a few seconds. Even has a nice little book to teach fishing basics or brush up on her fishing knots. Definitely worth the money and for a kid, this is perfect and won't break the bank!
