Great price and product worked well. Paid for itself while threading pipe for some custom handrails.

I bought this because our local orange box store is awful at cutting/threading pipe. It does an ok job, but not terrific... the retention of the dies could be better, and the teeth could be sharper, but it got the job done. The best use for this might be chasing the factory threads on import pipe, as a lot of those are pretty awful. This will clean them up reasonably well. Still haven't decided if I'll keep it, as I just got a Ridgid power threader, but this might be a useful backup to have around.

The media could not be loaded. Great tool for rethreading well sandpoint pipe. I messed up the threads when installing the well pipe at my remote cabin and after lots of YouTube and research I thought I was going to have to pulling out and start over, this however cut new threads so easy and I was able to leave the well pipe in place and continue on with the project. I will be making a YouTube video showing the tool and explaining how it saved me so much time and money.

Wouldn’t recommend for everyday use but great for occasional use.

This threader gets off track easy and binds up after 1/4 of a turn. You have to keep pouring oil into it and only going ~1/8 of a turn before backing up. It's cheap and low quality. I would suggest you go to HF for their version, as that worked a lot better for me.

It's clumsy, the die heads don't lock into the handle well at all.The slightest of crooked cuts on the pipe to be threaded really sends this threader into a bad way, distorting the end of the pipe was the worst of it with threads that were not usable.Nowhere near the quality of hand threading tools I've used previously but far less in price as well.It will work, clumsily, and you better get your cuts straight!

I bought this kit to thread 3/4" pipe for a propane installation. To have the 10 or so threads cut done by the company selling the pipe would have cost me 4 times the price of this kit. Like most metal threaders it made a cleaner cut if I backed it up often.

This might not be a tool that you use every day but it works well for the few jobs I needed it for. I would recommend this to anyone that needs it.
