These are great stainless steel round-wound strings across the range
These are great stainless steel round-wound strings across the range, not just the 35 / 55 / 70 / 90 sets although after years of playing I recommend you try lighter gauge bass strings if you haven't already. They change the feel of your instrument dramatically.Straight out of the packet, these strings are quite lively / trebly but they calm down after a few hours of playing, without loosing the bright, piano tones. The strings suit many musical and playing styles and do not break easily.

I used to buy Rotosound strings all the time for my basses some years ago I think they were ground wound or something like that. I bought these thinking they would be the same string. Not so these are very abrasive on both your fingers and the neck/frets. Put them on my Westone Thunder III and had them back off again within an hour. They are like files on the frets. Moving on to other types and makes from now on. Have ordered some Cobalt to try

Good strings for some slap'n'pop!
Nice bright even tones across the strings and 35 gauge is great for a good pop when playing funk styles. I love light bass strings. Why work harder?!

I offered it to someone, so I cannot review it objectively. The person has not complained about them, that's why I gave it 4 stars.

Superb strings.
I have used Swing Bass strings for 35 yrs. They are bright, easy on my fingers and suit my sound perfectly.Give them a try if you are wanting roundwounds.Great value too.
