Q: harris stay-silv 15 phos-copper silver brazing alloy , can use map gas to brazing ?

Yes, I've been using my turbo torch (air and acetylene) for the past 40 years or so (HVAC work). In a pinch I picked up a Mapp gas tank and tip at Lowes and was surprised by how well it worked. I have had no trouble brazing 1-1/4" copper to copper fittings.

Q: My question is, is this brazing rod (harris phos/copper brazing alloy) needs flux or not?

The copper in the Blended material acts as a flux no flux required
