I guess it depends how handy you are, but this is generic enough to work with an old 50s car!
OK so I didn’t use this for an FT 86 or any other type of Subaru Toyota. I use this on a 1958 MGA to help hold up the shifter knob with the boot. It fits perfectly as long as you have a standard shift shaft size. I’m sure it would probably fit slightly smaller 12, but I’m using this with the M22 without issues. I’m using it to have a new black leather boot connected with the shift knob that I replaced it with. i’m really happy because this managed to work for my application which is not something that is cheap. Love the fit and finish honestly it feels higher-quality than the original 1950s lifter.

Light and Smooth
Extremely lightweight, the outside finish looks really good. Color is vibrant and feels smooth to the touch. Well machined piece.
