Yes, that is what its made for. Just be gentle, as it is a fine mesh.

Q: Will this be too fine for making jam from raspberry or blackberry? Or pasta sauce from tomatoes?

I don't think so. It is not an extremely fine mesh. I use it for straining ice cream base.

There are 2 different models. Both are almost identical. One has a stand and the other does not.

Q: Will this strain vegetables and fruits to make juice?

I would assume so. We made butternut squash soup with it.
