Took me years to get around to getting one of these and boy do I regret wasting time. I use it several times a week.A heavy duty glass bowl.Very sharp blades, so be careful.Very well made.I'm not a cook and use this mainly for my dog's homemade food. I don't think I've used it more than 10 or 15 seconds at one time to chop and shred up cooked chicken, turkey, steak and meat.I mince vegetables like broccoli and spinach my dog now loves but would never eat hand cut. I imagine this is an excellent addition for all of you who would make great use of it for human meals!

I have a Cusinart food processor which can chop, shred, or slice depending on which blade is in use, but it can be a pain in the neck to clean, one either stores the inserts that one is not using in the "bowl" or risks losing them, and it can be a bit fiddly to put all the parts together so that the food processor will run. In contrast, the Vastelle food chopper is incredibly easy to use, works three times as fast, and it's quieter. The first time that I used it, I roughly chopped a very large onion and a Hatch pepper, put them into the bowl, and in less than 30 seconds, they were finely chopped, and ready to go into the frying pan. It is perfectly sized for a family, it takes up about the same amount of space on the counter as my last food chopper, but it has twice the capacity, and four times the speed.

I love this product. it is amazing. I use it to cut the onions, peppers and when the ground beef is lumpy I use it to make the meat smaller and more even. Well, maybe I don't know how to explain it but it works so well. I am very happy with this product.

I needed a basic chopper to help prep some of the simple vegetables but ended up liking this a lot more then I anticipated. The glass bowl is super nice and handy to help wash and prep before putting the blade and top on to process. I use it for the more messier items like onions and hot chili peppers. Overall, great value and would recommend.

I just received this a couple days ago and have only been able to use it once to mince up a couple onions. I have to say I was really impressed with the ease this chopper handled the onions. I've never had a 2 speed chopper but found it very handy. High speed to do a quick chop, then I dropped to the lower speed so I wouldn't over mince. My old chopper was very prone to over chopping things. I also like the glass bowl instead of plastic. My significant other likes to use a knife to scrap the bowl which scratched the old plastic bowl so bad you couldn't see through the sides anymore. Now I don't have to deal with removing the top to look inside anymore. Great!! I hope the chopper holds up as I see it being used frequently.

Built sturdy.Love thats its glass and easy to clean.Nice touch with 2 speeds..Can't beat the price for 8 cups..pkged securly& speedy delivery.Its a winner..buying another for a gift!

This thing is great! A little bigger than I expected, but that's ok. Also didn't realize it was glass (guess I didn't read the description too clearly!), but I like the glass better than plastic. Has 2 speeds, one for softer foods (veggies, etc) and a higher one for thicker foods (meat). Works really well and comes apart nicely so you can put the bowl in the dishwasher. Overall, very happy with this!
