Actually the first elevator shoe that is quality!
Shocked! I've tried their competitors and they were ghetto. Calto was quality and fits great! ALWAYS ADD 1 INCH. THEY ALL RUN SMALL!

manufacture fault.
The left shoes has an odd clicking sound when I walk. (which is noticeable) - It is either coming from the heel of the shoe or the sole as though something is loose inside?? - I was hoping I could return the shoes to a UK depot however they have to be sent back to Indinapolis, U.S. and the mailing cost is horrendous. - I therefore decided to keep the shoes and use them for tap dancing!

Tricky Innersole Does The Deed
Please see the images that are part of this review. These boots do work as advertised. I’m not sure there’s a 4” height gain but it is close if not there. Part of the lift comes from the tricky innersole and part from the shoe being a boot. To illustrate the innersole method of lift, I took one of my regular boots of the same type but with a conventional build. Please see the image of them side by side. The CALTOs have a rise from the forefoot to the heel all contained within the shoe. When wearing, my foot slants from the heel down to the toe somewhat like a woman’s high heeled shoe. The innersole’s heel is raised so my foot is only partly down in the shoe. Note the ruler’s measuring only 3” from the innersole to the boot’s upper edge. The conventional boot has almost a 6” depth from the boot edge to the innersole. The difference is the amount of lift the CALTOs give over conventional boots.Wearing these for driving was conventional but walking around took enough getting used to that I didn’t get comfortable after a full day much of which was sitting. Since these do lift me up, they’re a bit much for wearing around people I know. I got these so my wife, who is about my height barefoot, won’t tower above me when we go out and she wears her 5” spike heels. I think they’ll work for that purpose.

Great fit. Super comfy, takes practice to wear.
Those were my husbands words. He loves these shoes. He's 5'9 but I'm 6 foot tall and I guess every once in awhile he likes to be taller than me. He likes these a lot. He said they take practice to wear though but they are comfortable and the hightop gives them sturdiness so your ankle has more support while you're learning. But I wouldn't suggest athletics in these.

Stand up Straight & Taller!
I love these height increasing shoes. First, I ordered a 9 in Black and they look nice plus they're very comfortable. These look like a hybrid shoe/boot for hiking, footwear for wearing all day just about anywhere. Secondly, I love the concept of elevating my heels because these shoes force me to stand up straighter with my shoulders back but walking around everywhere with these on does take a bit of getting used to. These shoes make me 2 inches taller at most but any more than that might make it too hard to wear all day. I would definitely use these elevator shoes when speaking at a podium or a public event. Honestly, I tripped over my own feet a few times wearing these and I haven't mastered my walking gait while wearing these! (< respect to women that wear high heels!) These are a high quality, well-made, comfortable (cloth-lined inside) pair of height-increasing men's shoes with good ankle support that look great and super fashionable. I love them.
