Better gain!
This is probably the best antenna I’ve used so far. I had been using a Wilson 5000, then I tried a Stricker A10. I was talking to some locals and they both used this antenna so I bought one to see if it would be any better. I gained 2db over the Stricker talking to a local 15 miles away. Plus the noise level dropped so I can now hear far away stations. Very happy with this antenna.

Doesn't fit SO-239 mount
I gave this antenna one star as it looks well built. I have two other Sirio 5000's and wanted a somewhat lighter antenna on my Honda Civic CB radio install. I am using a Comet 3D4MB SO-239 through-hole mount on the trunk lid. This antenna will make about two revolutions on the SO-239 mount and then get tight to the point you can't turn the antenna further down on the mount. This leave a large gap between the trunk lid and the bottom on the load coil. I have a Wilson 1000, and two 2m/70cm radio antennas that fully screw down to the top of the SO-239 mount so its not an SO-239 mount issue. It seems the mounting threads are tapered on the antenna loading coil. This looks like a good antenna but I will be using my spare Wilson 1000 antenna for this install.
