Primos Hunting Catnip Call Reed

Never used any kind of calls but this was perfect for first timers trying to learn!

Easy to use

This is a great call, fun to play with, it drives the cats in the neighbor hood crazy, some of the neighbors too.

received this call in the mail last week and was super excited to open it up and try her out after reading all the great reviews about this call. I am in no way an professional caller; but I find this call very simple to use. You have the choice of three varieties of sounds this reed can make (fawn whitetail, jack rabbit and cotton tail rabbit) so it can be used virtually anywhere in the United States. It is also very durable, and will probably work in wet conditions due to the rubber construction. The sounds are very loud and clear.

I like it alot. I can make a lot of different sounds with it. Its raspy and loud if u will it so. I'm super happy with this. Havent used it yet though as I just received it but will update the review if it breaks easily or if it brings in some critters

Excellent volume and sound. Versatile: rabbit distress, coyote distress, fawn bawl. So far VERY pleased. (Updating my review): Called in several coyote already with this distress call. Just placed an order for a second one, in case I lose my first one. Don't want to take the chance that Primos discontinues this call. Very good predator call.

The call makes a great distress sounds.

This thing is cool! I like the lil bit of raspy ness to it and how biting on the reed part can change the tune. Worked real quick at the dog park on some Huskies!

Best call I have found for the different sounds it will produce, Id like to see Primos calls made a bit sturdier, the rubber mouth piece slides off easily, and the center attachment ring does allow for sturdy attachment to a regular call lanyard, other wise, SUPER good call and price! the only one I need!!!

The Primos Cat Nip Predator Call is something special! It has a huge range of sounds compared to other calls. I can go from the mouse-like squeaks you'd use when a predator is close by to the hoarser, rabbit shreaks or cries used to get a predator's attention at a distance. I'm going go order several more in case it is every discontinued!!!!

This call is said to be one of the easiest to use. It's not quite as easy to master as some of the other calls I've used, including some open reed designs. The sound isn't quite as realistic as others either in my opinion. It doesn't take much cold to make the call freeze up either. I tried it in high 30 degree weather and it failed to perform. It'll get the job done in a pinch, but I'll more than likely leave it at home.

Very well designed and constructed with the ability to vary the sound output and create an all around call that is very effective. Small size that is very easy to carry in your shirt or jacket pocket and even operate one handed if necessary.
