Love these gloves for kayaking… lightweight and comfy while protecting my hands

They have held up surprisingly well. I’m a truck driver and need them for sun protection (avoiding a farmer’s tan). They are nice and light for my need. And the size was true, which almost never happens. I have tough work gloves I use for handling stuff and I have gone through mechanics type gloves in a couple of weeks. I have left these on while handling materials, I figured they are cheap I will just buy more, but after several months these are still together. Some stitching has come undone between fingers but thats nothing compared to other gloves I’ve had, I could just sew them. I’m getting another pair just because after several months of hard labor they smell and don’t seem washable because of the leather palms.

Needed something to protect my hands when kayaking. Needed comfort and protection, it's Texas I don't want my hands to be too hot. These are light breathable but have the protection I need for my hands. Almost lost one and fell out my kayak to save it!

Exactly as the website can't complain

The gloves are well made but the material is quite thin and I don't consider it thick enough to protect my fingers from blisters. (I paddle sort of hard.). I suggest for better protection use gloves for bar bell workouts. Those kinds of gloves should fit snuggly so they don't blister your fingers due to constant rubbing. In such a case water softens your skin to make them more vulnerable to blistering.

These gloves are lightweight with just enough padding to help prevent the development of blisters when paddling a kayak for about two hours on a relatively smooth lake. I like that the gloves also protected my hands from the sun. They were easy to put on and take off, and seemed to hold their shape well. At home, after the outing, I rinsed the gloves to remove the lake water and hung the gloves outside to dry. They dried quickly and then went back into the outer pocket on my dry bag to be ready for future use.Because my hands are bigger than most women’s hands, I ordered a large. The gloves were a bit loose on me, but still worked well. For reference, I often buy a Men’s small glove instead of a Women’s glove. I may order a size medium when I decide I need another pair.
