When my kids were starting school for the first time, I knew I wanted to pack their lunches. After doing some research on what type of container would suit our family needs, we chose yumbox and I haven't regretted it since. In fact, I've such a fondness for yumbox, my hubby ordered me my own purple bijoux, and it's wrapped up under our Christmas tree right now.Pros:1. It's easy for little kids to open and shut2. Yumbox is leak proof, I've put yogurt, pudding, apple sauce, maple syrup, and ketchup in, and it's never leaked into any other compartment..3. Which leads to my next point, yumbox is a bento style lunchbox and has 4-6 separated compartments. This was great for me, as my youngest had some sensory issues, and hated his food touching.4. Yumbox is lightweight. I was also looking into planetbox because of the stainless steel, but from what I've read it's quite heavy. My kids were 2 and 3 at the time.5. Comes in multiple colors.Cons:1. Both the shell and tray need to be washed by hand and left to air dry over night or hand dried. Yumbox does state that the tray is top rack dishwasher safe; however, because of the way it's designed, once the dishwasher has completed its cleaning cycle, water just collects in the holes of the tray, and I've got a small bowl of water in the morning. It's not a deal breaker for me, just a slight inconvenience.Next, what you pack in the yumbox can't be heated in the yumbox and a separate ice pack has to be placed with it. (Rubbermaid has a great system that incorporates an ice pack or two with their containers). If I'm planning on sending them something warm for lunch, I bought a thermos food jar which does the trick.Overall yumbox has worked well for us and I highly recommend it for adults and kids.

It perfect. My granddaughter feels like a princess walking. Into the lunch room with her lunchbox. Her sandwiches or cut out like butterflies are unicorns or flavors she has vegetables cut with vegetables cutters that have stars in the middle and moons in diamond shapes all kinds of things there’s just so many things you can do and make a lunch that’s healthy as well as presentable with decorative toothpicks. My daughter entered Kindergarten this year. I originally bought the bento box from Pottery Barn Kids. BIG mistake. The compartments were odd sizes, and there is absolutely no moisture barrier between the compartments or for the box as a whole.....huge pain. This new box fits very nicely in the Pottery Barn Kids lunch bag with some extra room for a fruit pouch. My daughter had no problem opening it. I love that it fits a standard size sandwich. It’s been easy to wash and seems very durable. Plus it is super cute!! My daughter really loves it. I’ll update this review if we have issues longer term with the seal or other functionality.

Unlike other popular brand boxes (that rhyme with Kento), these do not leak and are much much more durable. I love the design on this one for my older daughters. These fit well in another popular brand's wide lunch box (Think Ottery-Farm).

Got this for my Pre-K4 yo because it fits his LL bean lunch bag perfectly. Easy for him to use and easy to clean!

Overall I really like this bento box. It has a solid clasp that is easy for my kids to use and it does not leak which is extremely important as it is constantly jostled around in a backpack. It is the perfect size to fit in a standard lunch box. The insert comes out for easy washing. The designs are super cute. But I deducted a start because some of the spaces are very tiny and I have trouble finding food to fit.

We have a few of these. They work perfectly for lunch for school or camp. They're easy to wash and last a long time.

Less division than other brands. More room for food and less bulky. Def a great purchase.

These are great lunch boxes!Durable, easy to clean - keeps everything separated and in the correct compartment. No leaky yogurt / condiments.Still slightly expensive so only have a few but very happy with the ones I own!

I LOVE this lunch box! Each compartment fits a variety of things so that my daughter doesn’t have to eat the same thing for lunch every day. Leak-proof, and seems unbeatable lolHighly recommend.
