Not perfect...
We went away for two weeks leaving the camera with a full battery charge. The weather here was foul, with driving winds, sleet, snow and rain, and after one weeks exposure the battery ran down in the cold and wet, leaving us "blind".It hasn't happened since as the weather has been moderate; but as the camera is in an exposed position, I expect it to fail again next winter. It's a shame, because Ring is the benchmark brand, and we thought that we could rely on it for security, but we'll just have to monitor the battery constantly.

Great tech, but be aware ongoing plans are £3.49 or £8.49 a month for anything other than live view
The door bell is great, it's quite a broad view but good to capture the scene, the conversation from any incidents and ensure people get home safe or you can engage without going to the door.BE AWARE: you get a 30 trial to playback videos, but after that basic plan is 3.50 or other one is 8.50 a month to have playback. So when it notifies you of motion at the door you can't see anything unless they are still stood on your doorstep. Meaning you're going to be tied into a small but ongoing monthly payment as you will want to watch content back to check things for security, (or simply seeing a loved one go out to their day giving you a smile).

Old, but good
Just bought about 2 weeks ago, and since has been fairly reliable. Easy to set, but only downside is more of a nitpick then anything, but something at was kinda annoying. If there is any, and I mean any smudge. Even a minute one, will cause the motion detector not to respond which is pretty annoying, but other then that? It’s very reliable.Hopefully a few months down the line, it’ll still be as useful. Before purchasing, you get 30 days of ring protection, and I would highly recommend signing up as afterwards sone of the service will be unavailable. Unfortunate, but that’s the day we’re living in when we could just a sd-card, but that’s not an option here (no sd-card), but the cloud has storage. recommend, but would highly, highly recommend spending a little bit more for the more newer models as this is I think 5 years old at this point

Great but
Great product but it has a interference problem I think might be my Internet connection but when the door bell is activated the first 10 seconds are distorted and out of sync also doesn't allow certain motions to be active or something as it states its not compatible for this device I don't know the order whether its the oldest but i wish I would have paid the extra price for a more updated version but still does the job and its a screw mounted bracket to hold it in place I was surprised as it wasn't what my sister has so I've put holes in my front door to fix this device to so be aware but again highly recommended

It works!
Although I have “every room” wifi, my Arlo cameras do not always work with it. However, this does, so I’m delighted not to have to resort to plan B (hardwiring an extender). I got an electrician to wire it into my doorbell, but I guess someone more competent than me could do it without involving someone else.I like the fact that I can choose what to record, so can exclude most passing cars. Unfortunately it thinks my hollyhocks in the wind are people, but that won’t last forever!Im pleased I chose Ring.

Motion sensor and ring alert not great
I do love this this camera but it doesn’t always pick up motion every time someone walks past and I do have all the settings correct. Also I don’t get notifications or alerts when someone rings the doorbell. The very odd time I do receive them it’s comes through very delayed and the person has already left by then. Picture quality and sound quality are very good the battery life is good too. I’ve had mine since January and think I’ve only charged it 2/3 times.

Simple and easy to set up
A simple and easy system to set upThe door bell itself is of a nice design and doesn’t stand out to badlyThe chime is also small and easy to installThe app you get with the ring system is very customisable for each user which is great

The BEST doorbell camera by a landslide! 😍😍😍
After suffering a nightmare of a year with a different brand of camera doorbell, I gave up and invested in this one for the front door.THIS has everything you could dream of! The motion sensor is sensible, so unlike the other brand I had, this one doesn't go off all night long cause it spots a blooming fox! This works seamlessly with Alexa, and once you've got the hang of the settings, you'll soon find that you can have Alexa Show you the doorbell cam live feed, while the doorbell tells your visitors you'll be with them shortly. Which is perfect if you have someone come to the door late at night and you prefer to see them through the Alexa Show BEFORE answering the door, without them leaving cause they think you're not home 😊Next, there's the absolutely superb camera, night vision and two-way audio! There is a very bright street light at the end of my garden and despite this, the night vision can still show individual blades of grass and each stone in the roughcast wall? That is the kind of details you should expect from a security camera not a doorbell so I am jumping for joy about the camera quality, during the day light the camera is second to none too which makes me feel safe 24/7. You can see for yourself from my pics 🙂The audio is crystal clear, so much so that it I could hear a smoke detector going off in one of the houses at the other end of the street, when I went onto live view so I have zero complaints there! 😂As for the recording length? My previous doorbell brand only recorded 30 seconds max, which was useless on both occasions when I actually needed about a minute. This wee beauty records 2 minutes which is fantastic for if someone dodgy comes to your door, and given the amount of scammers who crawl out of the woodwork during a cost of living crisis, having a device like this wee gem works as a deterrent AND records the ones who chance their luck! This is also great for battery life, easy to charge when it's running low on power and wireless, so once it's connected to the WiFi and up, it's good to go for a decent amount of time! Mine was connected and installed in under 3 minutes, (that includes drilling the pilot holes) and has had a constant connection to the wi-fi signal ever since! To give you a comparison, the other doorbell cam this has replaced took 4 hours to try to connect to their own WiFi network, continuously going round in circles trying to connect then disconnecting after I had to change the batteries one time. But this device was seemless, and practically set itself up for me.When this detects motion, I have it set to record the video and it tells all the Alexa's in the house that someone is at the front door, so even if I'm in the kitchen with the washing machine going, I don't need to worry that I've missed someone at the door. That was my first one of these! I loved it so much I bought another one for the babies nursery as she's just went into her toddler bed and it's set up to alert me when she gets up out of bed. She's only one and a half, so having the motion sensor activate as soon as she's up and about is worth every penny cause anything can happen in a very short space of time with wee ones that young! The motion sensor in the nursery doorbell cam is phenomenal! She can toss and turn though the night, and it will do nothing, but as soon as her feet start dangling of her wee bed, the motion detector kicks in and tells my bedroom Alexa that the baby is up! I have the nursery doorbell cam set up to turn her nursery light on, my room lamp on, and the living room lights on when motion is detected in her room. I also have the "wait" feature set in the Alexa app so that the motion sensor doesn't put the nursery light on when I'm putting her to bed at night which is an awesome little known feature!I also have the nursery doorbell cam send a live feed to my bedroom Alexa so I can see her as soon as the motion detector goes off in the morning, enabling me to reassure her through the speaker that mummy will be there in a wee minute so she knows she not all alone. As you can see from my photos, the camera can see the details on her radiator and her chair in the nursery in the pitch black! She has a proper blackout blind, with blackout fabric behind it, and the hall light was off when I took this photo, so there was ZERO light getting into her room! Despite this, the level of detail in this doorbell camera is the best quality I've found in a night vision camera. It even picks up on the difference in shade on her velvet chair as you can see from my picture. It is so crystal clear that I can see if her eyes are open or closed which is priceless. Also, the audio is so clear that when her wee baby snores start, it picks up the sound perfectly enough that Alexa can the stop playing her soothing bedtime music, cause the doorbell detected she was asleep 😍This is exactly what I need from my devices! Peace of mind, quality, security and convenience and this wee doorbell has all of those in bucket-loads! So much so, that I've just purchased a third one for the back door/garden now too 😂All in all, if you are looking for a doorbell camera THIS is definitely the one to get!☺️
