Runs small and size correlates with other Columbia boots.
For references, I'm 5'3, 103lbs, feet is 9 1/8th inches, shoe size 6/6.5. In Columbia's, I wear a 7/7.5. Their shoes size charts are just weird, so I suggest you go by EU/UK chart or measurements in CM for the best fit. I got a 7 in these. These shoes have Omni heat just in the foot area, which is fine with me. I like to wear leg warmers and boot cuffs anyway. Shaft circumference is 14 inches for the size 7, so if you have wide calves, beware even if it's made of flexible material. I don't have a problem pulling them on at all, but I'm on the petite side. Just a friendly note though, if your ankles does not pass through these, then you probably cannot wear Coach or Frye brand boots. As for waterproof? I don't believe anything is, unless they're rubber rain boots. They're more like water resistant, so I don't push my luck wearing it in heavy snow. Like other Columbia boots, I find them warm and comfy, not narrow nor wide. Only complaint is the laces are a bit hard, so you'll have to tie the knot a bit tighter to break them in, or they'll slowly loosen. I find the best looking colors are the black/purple (it's subtle) and the light blue/navy blue is fine too. I bought the black/white one and had to return it because it's too flashy, too much contrast, made me look like I was wearing a cast instead of a snow boot. Oh, and the kid version of this boot is NOT the same style as the adults. I bought a kids size 6 for my daughter. The laces part may look alike or similar, but the bottom soles are completely different. The footbed on the kids are made like the Mid Minx 2 style. Hope this helps.

Hard to get your foot in, but lovely to wear once it's in there!
These are exactly what I was after!! I wanted a snow boot that would not be so heavily insulated that my foot would roast unless I was in the Arctic, and these delivered. I'm a lazy, so when it snows out I don't want to wear boots to work and bring shoes to change into and change back into boots when I leave. I wanted a boot (heh heh, that sounded very Canadian) that was fashionable enough to wear all day at work, that was warm enough and waterproof enough to walk the dog in on a cold CO night, and comfortable enough to handle all-day wear and walking. Well, These be exactly that. Not good enough for ice fishing for 8 hours in Alaska in Jan; good enough for indoor/outdoor paralegal/dog walking wear. Nailed it Columbia! Now for the fit oddity:I read reviews and looked at many boots before choosing these. The most common complaint I found about these were about the struggle getting your foot in there. Yeah, that's definitely a thing. With thin socks, it's a 5 of the 10-point struggle scale (hopefully this fictitious scale is helpful). 1 is easy-peasy - glides in like a lubed finger in a ...nevermind. 10 is it ain't gonna fit - you must acquit. With thick socks I'd say it's a 9. Columbia should have put a couple loops on each side to grab and pull, but they didn't and it's hard to get a good grip. I wear a size 6 in shoes. I have high arches and semi-wide feet. I bought a 6.5, and it's perfect once my archy foot is in there. I'd recommend a 1/2 size up, and not to buy these if you have thicker ankles. There's 0 stretch in the ankle area, and it's difficult to even get thin ankles in there.Okay, final babble:Not for you if you want all-day toasty warm shoes in which to trek across Antarctica (we've covered many continents in this review...Russia...okay I'm done).Yes for you if you want something to wear in and outdoors all day that's really cute and utilitarian. These are for cold-weather wimps like me that aren't gonna linger outside when it's freezing (though my feet have yet to feel chilled on even a 8° nighttime dog walk).Fin

Good boot, true to size
Hard to put on, there are no grips to grab. That's my only gripe. Otherwise they keep my feet dry and warm and I love the aqua color.

Great boot! Takes some work!
I really love these boots....once I was able to get them on. Having read the reviews I can attest that they run small, you're going to need to order at least a half size up (maybe even a full size if you have a wide foot, as the ankle is very narrow. I have a fairly narrow foot so I ordered a half size up. First time I could not get them on, so I used my shoe stretchers to stretch out the ankle a bit. After a few days I was able to get them out (with a little bit of struggle) and like another review said, each time after has been better. That being said, once one they are a super comfy and warm boot with great traction. So if you don't mind working with them a bit, they are a really great boot.

Awesome & worth every penny! 5 stars!
First want to say, These run true to size. I wear a women's 12 in closed toed shoes and open shoes a Womens 11. They are adjustable and super comfy. I just had a hip replacement in may and was told by my physical therapist to get winter boots that were light in weight and flexible in the shaft. I looked all over and came across these numerous times. I read about them and finally tried them. They are warm even in subzero temps like the ones up here in Montana. These have the same sole as 1 of Columbia's hiking boots, good for traction. They are flexible so it doesn't restrict my full movement for my gait. They are light and well insulated. Stable footbed and support for arches as well. Yesterday walking outside in snow up to my shins, my jeans tucked inside were dry as a bone.I get compliments from women asking where I found them, even in a local shoe store, tell them to come to amazon.com. I just came back for my 2nd pair and got a pair for my mom who also has orthopedic issues.I've worn them everyday since I got them and they're comfortable, warm and now my go-to snow boot.

Warm and comfy
It is really warm and very comfortable. I changed the laces as they are a little too bright for my taste (but very pretty). Lost a star because it’s a bit hard to take off.

I bought these 4 months ago & absolutely love them, wear them everyday for dog walking, comfortable, but have noticed that damp is getting into them now, with no obvious signs of wear & tear to allow this.little disappointed at the short length of time this has taken after spending £90 on them.
