LenoxLx Collective White 12-Piece Dinnerware Set, 15.75 LB

I love my new set of dishes. The texture adds a formality to it that allows me to use this everyday or for a dinner party. It has a matte like finish which is beautiful. What made me return to Lenox (my wedding dishes were lenox) is because of their 9.25" accent plate. Most accent plates are 8". We use our accent plates as dinner plates- we find this is best for portion control and food waste. Lenox is one of the few that offer this size. I bought every piece offered and it is gorgeous! I'm so happy with the look.

I'm very disappointed to say that out of this dinnerware set two of the plates plates had a large crack from the side to almost the center after pulling them from the dishwasher. I also noticed that one of the bowls had a chip along the rim with a small crack starting to form. I ended up just throwing those away but am left with an incomplete set. I'll just have to find similar dishes that match well and only use these for special occasions.

Once upon a time it was the fashion to serve coffee at the breakfast or dinner table, so a "standard" set of dinnerware came with a dinner plate, a bowl and a cup and saucer for each place setting. We've moved away from that and Lenox breaks new ground with this lovely 12 piece set to provide what we actually need - a larger bowl that is good for noodles as well as cereal, the standard dinner plate and the secret to my magic weight loss*, a "salad" or "luncheon" plate. All of the dishes are very lightly textured with a tiny wicker-like circular design.Grandma's $0.02 - I was so glad to find a basic dinner set that included the smaller luncheon plates rather than a coffee cup. Personally I like my coffee in a rather large mug. It saves me refilling that coffee cup several times. And the luncheon plates, sometimes almost impossible to find, are the "secret ingredient" to weight loss. A decade ago I landed in the hospital with heart problems. Among other things I had had a heart attack at some point in the past that went unnoticed and undiagnosed. Back then I was twice the woman (literally) that I am today. I've lost just over half my body weight and my cardiologist is still asking me what my secret was/is. Well, I stopped drinking or eating anything "diet". I stopped eating anywhere where I don't get a real plate and hopefully a waitress. And I bought smaller plates - luncheon sized ones. Eat anything you want - but it has to fit on the smaller plate. No seconds. Dessert is OK as long as you share with someone.This set from Lenox is a perfect fit for my lifestyle and it just might be for yours.Recommended

Nice basic plate set. Easy to clean. Looks modern. Not bad at all.

From the pictures that are provided on the listing, it’s hard to tell but the plates have a textured surface. The inside of the bowls are smooth, but the plates have that raised embossed feel to them. Overall, just on my initial thoughts pulling them out of the box. I wasn’t too thrilled about it and figured they would be much harder to clean, but in using them, they clean quite easily by hand and flawlessly in the dishwasher. They are made of porcelain and have a good amount of heft to them for us thin as they are. If you’ve never owned a Linux before you can register them on their website and they do have a replacement guarantee that if a dish breaks, they’ll replace it if they still offer that pattern, being as they are a newly released, said they should be around for quite a while. I have other sets of dishes that have colors or patterns and they tend to fade or even end up with knife marks overtime. I’m glad to go back to a basic solid white color that offers better longevity , I do a lot of cooking and taking pictures of my culinary delights, and a plain white plate always just makes the colors of the food pop. They offer the same set in a black pattern which I thought about getting for the contrast
