Worked, toaster OK now
Easy to fit (UNPLUG FIRST), and worked first time. Rehabilitated a 12 year old toaster. Kudos to Dualit for their iFixIt proud designs from before right to repair became cool. Shame their kettle isnt similarly repairable, but Tesco do kettles for £12 so all is not lost.

Dualit timer
Simple to change although I think one of the terminals was dirty as I couldn't get toaster to work. Spoke to supplier and they had some good advise and I eventually got it to work . Would recommend

Saved myself a fortune with this repair. Pity it needed to happen though, the toaster wasn't that old... but this new switch is great.

Rescued our toast from a fiery fate...
Our 7-year old Dualit four-slice toaster has been great for a long time, but recently the clockwork timer switch had started to stick, which is not ideal in a toaster that relies on this component to control when the elements are powered. I removed the existing switch but couldn't find anything obvious wrong with it, and cleaning with isopropyl alcohol didn't help alleviate the sticking, so I ordered a replacement. Easy to fit, the new timer works impeccably and I hope it lasts for at least as long as the old one did. Keen price, too, when many other manufacturers don't supply spares or charge a fortune for them. Well done Dualit.

A perfect replacement and another 10 years of life beckons for our Dualit toaster
The timer on our Dualit 4-slice toaster started sticking almost a year and half ago. We bought this toaster as they are meant to last 'forever' and this one was over 10 years old when this fault appeared. I thought this would involve sending it off to a service agent and had prevaricated about doing this because of lockdown, etc. This led to a couple of close calls with 'charcoal brickets' being created from toast forgotten in the toaster and suchlike. Dangerous stuff. Quite by accident I came across a reference to this spare parts supplier on Amazon during a Google search to finally find a service agent to fix this problem. As it turns out the part is simplicity to fit with no soldering or suchlike and just a few screws to remove the base and the original timer. I replaced the wires in sequence transferring each in turn to the new switch and then swapping out the old one with the new. A ten minute job. Very happy to have our toaster back at 100%.
